A soft breeze bellows through the Sunny. You breathe in the smell of the sea as you sit on the railing with your back to the sea. You're content to watch the straw hats fall into what seems like their usual habitats, slowly trying to feel out each crew member at your own pace. You could tell you're going to be close friends with Nami just like Robin, and could picture yourself laying in the sun with them on sunny days like today. It wasn't often you got to soak up the sun with your own crew, always running around and being too busy to relax and enjoy it with them.
As you start to reminisce your ears pick up the sound of Franky tinkering away on the ship. After he gave you an exciting tour of the ship, it enticed him to get to working on it. You already thought it was amazing and was built so perfectly down to the minute detail, but shipwrights always had something to tinker with on their ship. You move your gaze up to Robin on the second floor, peacefully sipping what you presume to be tea and reading a book. She was doing the same thing while with the Revolutionary Army, so it made you chuckle softly to see she was still the same.
Brooks strumming caught your attention next as he hummed a melody and tuned his guitar to match it. You always loved to dance and you often had your whole crew singing and dancing with you when you finally had a lull in your journey. You were excited to ask Brook to play a song. I mean, who wouldn't be excited to hear one of Soul Kings famous songs. How he ended up being a famous singer while the straw hats were split two years ago still surprises you. You made a mental note to ask him later to spill his story. It would be a great bonding opportunity as well as a way to gather for information, so it kills two birds with one stone.
The crew member who pulled your heart strings the most was Chopper. He really was the cutest, and you had a big weakness to cute things. You watched as Chopper, Luffy, and Ussop were chatting away with each other while fishing for dinner. You closed your eyes and breathed in, relaxing your senses. You focused on the wind that allowed their voices to travel to you. You picked up their voices and heard they were having a competition, and by the sounds of it, it seems like a pretty common occurrence. You chuckled and opened you eyes, looking for your next target, Zoro. He was the mysterious one of the Straw Hats.
You looked around to find him, but you couldn't spot him on the deck. You thought he'd be training out in the open since there wasn't a training room on the Sunny, so you made a note to ask about that as well. Who you did find was Jimbei peacefully steering the ship. He seemed pretty content to be the helmsman, which made you happy seeing him so happy. His story with joining the crew is a little spotty to you. You thought he was already apart of their crew after the initial fight with Big Mom at Whole Cake Island, so when you learned he wasn't to be found until the final fight against Kaido in Wano you were shocked to say the least. There are many holes when it comes to the Straw Hats, and you were excited to fill the, with their stories. Thinking about all the excitement started to make you buzz with your own excitement and energy. You loved a thrilling story. You chuckled to yourself and jumped off the railing, looking for something to burn off your building energy. It felt like lightning crackling it way from your toes to your finger tips, antsy to look for a way out.
As you made your way over to the three fishing, knowing their energy would feed off yours, you could smell what Sanji was preparing to have with whatever they caught. The smell tickled your nose and you started to salivate. Whatever he was cooking already smelled divine. You almost gave in and let your nose guide you to the kitchen, curious at what could be making a smell so tantalizing, but Luffy's voice stopped you.
"Y/N! Want to come over and fish with us?" You turned your attention back to your initial destination and found all three of them looking at you with glints in their eyes and large smiles.
"Haha! Not like you'd be able to beat me anyway. I'm the greatest fisherman on the sea!" Ussop stated, sticking his finger under his nose with a smirk.
