'And isn't it just so pretty to think
All along there was some
Invisible string
Tying you to me?'

Snape needed to see me. It was June fifth, Draco's birthday. The days were ticking down to his task and mine as well. I was planning to see him after classes, but I guess Snape wanted to see me.

I walked to his classroom door, which was closed, and knocked on it.

"Come in," He called.

I walked inside and Snape looked up from his desk. He stood up abruptly. His face was grim.

"Are you alright, sir?" I asked, my eyebrow raising.

"Close the door," He demanded.

I closed the door and stepped fully inside.

"Miss Potter, I need to talk to you about something. Something very important. Today is Draco's birthday," He said.

"I'm aware...." I muttered.

"I must warn you about something," He said.

"And that is?" I asked.

"The prophecy... I'm sure you've heard it... the two-"

"With the power to vanquish the Dark Lord, yes. And then it talks about me being evil. It's rubbish," I interrupted him.

"It's true."

"What do you mean, it's true?" I hissed.

"What I mean is that it's true, do you listen?" Snape spat, "You and Draco are in love. His Patronus is yours. Ending with the enemy. Draco was your enemy. You were meant to connect. Essentially, you belong together."

He didn't really expect me to believe a moronic prophecy, did he?

"I'm sorry, professor, that's a little extensive. This is a PROPHECY that we're talking about," I said.

"Potter, you do not understand the severity of this. In no way was there ever any prophecy that predicted the future of one's significant other. This is highly unusual. And very serious. I suggest you listen to me when I tell you; Whatever happens, you must trust Draco. You must stay with him, no matter what," The professor said.

"I know about it, professor," I whispered. His eyes widened and he looked scared, "The mark?"

Relief flashed on his face, then turned to shock again, "He told you about that?"

"Yes. He trusts me," I said.

"Has he told you anything else?"

"No, but that was my choice. I don't want to know. Whatever comes at me I can deal with it," I assured the professor. He must be worried about Dumbledore. Draco wouldn't do it, he wouldn't hurt a soul. He would never be able to kill Dumbledore and everything would be fine.

"Well... good. Just don't think bad of him... when something comes up," Snape drawled.

"I wouldn't. But professor?"
