Chapter 4

"So, how are you finding everything so far?" Will asked as he and Nico were now making their way to a table once they got their tray of lunch.
"What is this? A survey?" Nico raised an eyebrow at Will.

Will raised an eyebrow back at Nico.
"Wow~ am I not allowed to be curious on how you're finding this new school?" Will asked.
Nico bit his inner cheek.
"It's... fine?" Nico shrugged.
"Fine?" Will questioned.
"I don't know what you want me to say. It's a normal high school." Nico said.

"Well, am I good guide?" Will asked, smiling at Nico.
"... Could be less chatty, you get four stars out of five." Nico said, shrugging slightly at Will.
Will gasped dramatically.
"Four stars?! No!! That'll bring my perfect five star review down!!" Will exclaimed.
Nico couldn't help but smile and he rolled his eyes.

"Oh! Up ahead are my friends!"
Nico looked up ahead and he saw only two people at this table. Nico felt a little nervous, but Will instantly made his way over and Nico just followed Will.
"Hey! Alex, Magnus!"
Will sat down across from the blonde male and Nico awkwardly went over and sat down next to Will, setting his tray down in front of him. Magnus and Alex looked at the two.

"Oh? Will, who's this? Your boyfriend?" The person with green hair grinned.
Will's cheeks turned red.
"Erm, no. This is Nico, Nico di Angelo. He's new here." Will said, introducing Nico to Alex and Magnus.

"Nico, the person with green hair is Alex Fierro. And today she is going by she/her pronouns?"
Will looked at Alex, wanting confirmation that she was indeed going by she/her.
"Yep, she/her today!" Alex smiled.
"Hi Nico, it's nice to meet you."
"Erm, hi. Nice to meet you too." Nico awkwardly smiled at Alex.

"And next to Alex is-" Will began.
"Next to me is my dorky, adorable boyfriend, Magnus Chase!" Alex exclaimed, smiling at Magnus.
Magnus's cheeks warmed up and he slightly glared at his girlfriend.
"Do you have to call me dorky?" Magnus questioned, tilting his head.
"Awh, you know I love you." Alex grinned, reaching up and kissing Magnus's cheek.
Magnus scrunched up his nose but he smiled.

"Chase?" Nico furrowed his eyebrows.
"Any... any chance you know an Annabeth?"
Magnus blinked as he looked at Nico.
"Erm, yeah, she's my cousin." Magnus answered.
"Oh! Okay, well, I'm sure you know Percy? Percy Jackson?" Nico questioned.
Magnus nodded.
"Yeah, well, I'm Percy's cousin."
"Oh! Yeah, yeah, Percy's mentioned a Nico before." Magnus said, smiling at Nico. "Nice to meet you."
"Yeah, nice to meet you too." Nico nodded at Magnus.

"Isn't that cute?!" Alex smiled at Nico and Magnus. "You are practically like family. Percy and Annabeth are dating, aren't they?"
"Well, they're dating, not... married." Magnus said, looking to Alex.
"... I stand by my point." Alex said, looking at Magnus.
Magnus rolled his eyes and he smiled.

"Alright, you're ridiculous." Magnus sighed out, resting his head on Alex's shoulder.
Alex sighed and rolled her eyes as she brought a hand to Magnus's hair and ran her fingers through it.
"Gosh, you're like an obsessed little puppy." Alex said.
"Mmhm, you love it." Magnus stated.
Alex simply hummed in response and she kissed Magnus's forehead.

"... Yeah, these two like to rub it in that they're dating and that everyone else is single." Will said, looking at Nico. "W-well, assuming you're single."
Nico noticed Will seemed curious about him being single.
"I am incredibly single." Nico said.
"But that's also because I don't believe I'll find love and I am a-okay with that!"

Will furrowed his eyebrows.
"You don't believe you'll find love, why?" Will asked.
"Oh, super depressing reasons which I will not bother a person who I met a couple hours ago and which I will not say in front of two people who I met like 5 minutes ago." Nico smiled at Will.
