Chapter 13

Nico could faintly hear the birds chirping outside and he quietly grumbled as his eyes slowly opened. Nico looked up and his entire face turned red as he seemed to be way closer to Will than he was the night before. I mean, seriously, Nico swore that his face was nearly buried in Will's chest!

Nico bit his lower lip as he stared up at Will. He was breathing out softly, clearly still asleep. Will looked quite peaceful when he was asleep. Nico looked around Will's face, seeing how he seemed relaxed and calm.

Nico took in a quiet deep breath and he could smell Will's cologne instantly. Nico felt himself blush even more. Yes, he could smell Will's cologne yesterday, but he didn't have time to register the smell that was Will's, he didn't have the time to freak out over how nice Will's cologne was. The smell was so calming and Nico felt his stomach churn as he was surrounded by this scent.

Nico studied Will's face now, trying to distract himself from Will's cologne. Will's eyelashes were a little long and Nico never realised it but Will's eyelashes were blonde too. Nico's gaze trailed to Will's cheeks and nose, completely covered with freckles. Nico loved Will's freckles. They were beautiful and they made Will look even cuter. If Will didn't have his freckles, well, Nico couldn't even imagine that. Will's freckles are what made him Will Solace.

Nico's gaze then lowered down to Will's lips. They looked soft. It looked like Will didn't have a bad habit of chewing on his lips and peeling the skin off of them like Nico had. Nico licked his lips, now aware of the sudden chapness of them and attempting to make them not feel or look as dry as they were.

Nico glanced back up at Will's eyes and saw he was still sleeping peacefully. Nico swallowed as he felt himself lean in a little. Nico didn't know why he reached up closer to Will's face, but he did, he created this small gap between them and his heart was pounding in his chest, Nico could hear how his heart thumped in his chest.

Nico felt the embarrassment and anxiety wash over him as Will's eyes fluttered opened and Nico could see his beautiful blue eyes. Nico felt frozen, he couldn't move as Will woke up, as Will looked down at Nico, seeing how close they were. Will swallowed and his gaze flickered down to Nico's lips before meeting Nico's eyes again. Nico saw Will looking at his lips and he felt his face flush.

"... Good morning." Will whispered out.
Nico's gaze flickered back to Will's lips as those words escaped his mouth. Will's voice sounded slightly hoarse.
"Good morning..." Nico managed to whisper out too.
Nico instantly regretted speaking, his voice sounding more hoarse than Will's. Will smiled as Nico instantly seemed aware of his horrid morning voice.

"Were you awake for long?" Will asked, his voice still quiet and soft.
Nico slightly shook his head. "No, only a few minutes."
Will hummed and slightly nodded his head.
"Sleep well?" Will questioned.
Nico shrugged slightly.
"I guess." Nico answered.
Will smiled at Nico.

"Do you want something to eat?" Will tilted his head slightly.
Nico scrunched up his face.
"I can't eat a lot during the morning, it makes me feel sick." Nico shook his head.
"Really?" Will questioned. "But, breakfast is like the most important meal of the day!"
Nico shrugged slightly. "It just makes me feel sick, I can't eat a lot."
Will frowned and Nico smiled at Will.
"Seriously, don't worry. I eat during the day, I just don't eat much during the morning when I wake up." Nico said.

"... Fine." Will sighed, turning around and sitting up. "Well, I'm gonna make myself some waffles. I'll make you some too, and if you eat it, you eat it! If you don't? Well, I'll just eat em!"
"What? Will, don't go through the trouble-" Nico began, sitting up.
Will rested a hand on Nico's shoulder and he pushed Nico back onto the bed.

"You relax! I'll be back 10 minutes max! Uhm, when we eat, we can get changed and maybe you'd like to take a walk at this park nearby my place?" Will asked, smiling at Nico.
Nico looked at Will and he sighed out softly.
"Fine, but I'm gonna get my dad to pick me up after we walk around a little. I need some time to recharge my social battery." Nico said.
