Chapter 18

Nico was literally going to die from nerves.

He kept looking at the clock in the classroom, seeing that the end of the day was nearing. Nico glanced at Will who was doing his work, for once, and Nico was the one slacking off this time.

They didn't act different today, they were still the way they usually acted. Though, Nico knew that Will was thinking about the moment they shared, that he was curious about what Nico wanted to talk about.

The bell had rang and everyone instantly started to pack up their things and leave the classroom.
"Alright, have a good weekend everyone!" The teacher called as everyone instantly began to leave and chatter.

Nico took a deep breath as he grabbed his notebook and packed away his things into his bag. Nico got up and slung his bag over his shoulder and he glanced at Will, who was just packing up too. Will got up and slung his bag over his shoulder too, he then smiled at Nico.

"You good?" Will asked.
"Fine." Nico shrugged.
Will stared at Nico and he bit his lower lip.
"Look, Neeks, if you're not up for me coming over and talking about-" Will began.
"I'm up for it!" Nico exclaimed.

Nico was not up for it. But if he didn't do it soon, he wouldn't ever do it.

"Are you sure?" Will asked.
"Totally! Come on, we should go, or else my dad will drive off without us and we'll be forced to walk." Nico smiled, instantly walking off.
Will blinked and he quickly caught up alongside Nico, leaving the classroom to walk through the halls to leave the school.

Nico and Will were both silent as they walked together out of the school and towards the car. Nico went over to the back of the car and opened the door. He looked at Will and hinted for him to enter the car first. Will went ahead and he slid into the car, sitting down and shuffling over to let Nico sit down next to him. Nico got into the car and he shut the door, taking his bag off of his shoulder and setting it down.

"Hi dad, this is Will, Will this is my dad." Nico said, quickly introducing the both as he fastened his seatbelt.
Will fastened his seatbelt and he looked at the rear view mirror, seeing that Nico's dad looked at him through the mirror.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr di Angelo." Will smiled nervously at Hades.
Hades looked away as he started up the car.
"Mmh, pleasure to meet you too, Will." Hades said.

A silence overcame everyone in the car. Will looked at Nico and Nico seemed to be looking at his dad. Hades just began to drive off, heading back home.

The car ride was completely silent. Will felt awkward, Nico didn't really know what to say and he was trying to calm his nerves, and Hades didn't have anything to say.

Now, Will and Nico were in the house, Hades said that he'd be preparing dinner and asked Will if some pasta would be okay. Will said that pasta sounded great. So, dinner would probably be in a little while.

Nico and Will were still by the front door as Nico was setting away his boots and hung his jacket up. Will already took off his shoes and was just waiting on Nico.

"So... this is a big place." Will said, glancing around. "Pretty nice."
Nico hummed as he looked at Will.
"It's a nice house, I guess." Nico shrugged. "C'mon, let's head to my room."
Nico went over to the staircase and began to make his way up them. Will quickly followed behind.

As they ascended the stairs, Will looked at the wall and he saw picture frames on it. Will smiled as he saw a photo of a young Nico, his skin wasn't as pale as it was now, it was slightly darker and he had a huge smile on his face. His front teeth were missing and his clothes looked a little old-fashioned.
