Will decided to drop the whole topic of Nico (possibly) nearly calling him his soulmate and implying that they were fated to meet each other. And Nico was incredibly thankful that Will hadn't brought it up as they were facetiming each other once again.
"Okay, so, if you want, my mom said that you can sleep over for the night too. So, you can walk to my place after school on Friday and then Saturday you could just get your dad or someone to pick you up!" Will said. "But, only if you want to, of course!"
Nico hummed and he shrugged slightly, leaning back against the headboard of his bed.
"I mean... I dunno, I'll have to check with my dad if it's okay... and also I'll have to carry stuff for the sleepover in my bag all day for Friday, so my bag will be like super heavy-" Nico began.
"Well, if anything, you can borrow some of my clothes for pyjamas and then just bring an extra change of clothes for the next day and anything else you'd need! Make it a little less heavier!" Will offered.
Nico felt his cheeks warm up at the thought of borrowing Will's clothes.
"Erm... are you sure that's okay?" Nico asked.
"Of course!" Will smiled. "I mean, it's just clothes."
Nico hummed and he nodded.
"Okay... well, like I said, I still need to check with my dad about this." Nico said.
"Mmhm, okay. Well, just let me know as soon as possible." Will said.
"Oh, uh, so would I sleep on like an air mattress or...?" Nico asked, looking at Will.
"I-" Will began but stopped himself.
"... We do not have an air mattress, but if anything, you can take my bed while I sleep on the couch in the living room?"
"... Will, I am not stealing your bed." Nico stated.
"Well, I'm not gonna let you sleep on the couch." Will shrugged.
"I'd be happy to sleep on the couch." Nico smiled.
"I wouldn't be happy to let you sleep on the couch. Only way we'd both be happy is if we share my bed?" Will suggested.
"Fine, then we'll share your bed-" Nico said.
Nico blinked and Will grinned.
"Wha- I-" Nico fumbled, gulping.
"It's settled! We'll share my bed!" Will smiled. "If your dad is happy to let you come over, of course."
"Wait, no, you tricked me into saying that!"
"Alright, Nico, how did I 'trick' you into saying that?"
"You-you just did!!"
"Mmhmm, right, are you sure that you don't just want to share my bed with me?"
"I-!!"
"OH NEEKS!!!"
Nico jumped as he looked over to see his bedroom door swung open and Percy grinned as he entered the room with Annabeth tagging along behind.
"It's your favourite two people in the world!!"
Nico felt his cheeks warm up as he looked at Will and Will raised his eyebrows.
"Neeks?" Will questioned, grinning. "What a cute nickname!"
Nico's entire face turned red.
"I- I gotta go, my annoying cousin is here by surprise and so is Magnus's cousin!" Nico exclaimed.
"Wha-? Ah, right, cause they're dating." Will blinked, reminding himself that's why Magnus's cousin would be there.
"Well, we'll talk more about this later then. Bye-bye Neeks~" Will smiled.
Nico swallowed and he felt shivers down his spine when Will called him 'Neeks'.
"Uh, bye." Nico mumbled, feeling incredibly flushed as he quickly hung up on Will.
Nico looked at Percy and Percy was grinning.
"Soo... Was that the lovely Will? The Will who you claim is your soulmate?" Percy questioned, wiggling his eyebrows at Nico.
Nico shot a glare at Percy.
"I never said that he was my soulmate, you said it." Nico stated.
"And you just interrupted our conversation, you gave Will a nickname to give me, which he will be using often to tease me, and... did I mention that you interrupted our conversation?"
"Oh come on, Neeks, don't be like that-!"
"Hey, Percy." Annabeth said, placing her hand on Percy's shoulder. "Do you think you could get us some drinks? I'm still not super comfortable getting stuff for myself here."
Percy looked at his girlfriend and he smiled.
"Of course! Just sit tight with Nico. I'll be back in a few minutes." Percy said.
Percy kissed Annabeth's cheek before walking off.
Annabeth smiled and she let out a soft sigh as she entered Nico's room and made her way over to him.
"... So, your soulmate?" Annabeth questioned, sitting down across from Nico.
Nico bit his inner cheek.
"W-well, I think Will may be my soulmate. But I'm not sure. I mean, we had that weird moment you and Percy had? Like he and I bumped into each other, we stared into each other's eyes and... I dunno. Being with Will makes me really happy, I guess. And I also keep speaking without really thinking around him- and now I'm rambling about him!" Nico exclaimed, feeling embarrassed as he realised he was rambling.
Annabeth couldn't help but let out a soft laugh.
"Sorry to break it to you, but that definitely means that you at least like this Will guy." Annabeth said. "I was the same way. I'd ramble on about Percy to Thalia and Luke all the time. And Percy would always speak without thinking to me. Always called me pretty, called the nickname Luke gave me 'cute' when we first met."
Nico looked at Annabeth.
"... I called Will weird, but in a cute way when he said good morning to me in Italian when he found out I was from Italy." Nico stated. "I think that is more embarrassing than Percy calling your nickname cute."
Annabeth smiled.
"Hey, didn't Will call 'Neeks' a cute nickname?" Annabeth pointed out.
Nico blinked and he swallowed, feeling a lump in his throat.
"I- Annie!" Nico wailed, hiding his reddened face in his hands.
Annabeth laughed and Nico frowned as he took his hands away from his face.
"Look, Nico. Take your time with this. It seems like Will likes you back. I mean, Percy and I were flirty for a little while until Percy blurted out that he loved and cherished me. And... well, it's been 3 years." Annabeth said, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "If you and Will like each other, if you truly believe you are soulmates, things will work out for you. If you aren't ready to be more than friends, because you've known each other only for a little bit, then... it's okay to take your time."
Nico looked at Annabeth and Annabeth smiled at Nico.
"... Thanks, Annabeth." Nico said. "You're way more helpful than Percy."
Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"Percy can be very helpful. It's just... he prefers to tease you until you actually ask him for help." Annabeth said.
Nico hummed.
"So, Percy told me that you and Magnus are friends?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, Will introduced me to Magnus and Alex. I was surprised to learn he was your cousin."
"Yeah, I didn't expect for you guys to meet at your new high school..."
"I'm back!! Now, Nico! Let's talk about your soulmate~!!"
"I swear to GOD, Percy!!"
"Pfft, haha!"
