Nico was fiddling with the star charm around his neck as he was facetiming Percy, waiting for him to pick up. Nico was biting his inner cheek, waiting nervously and patiently.
Percy finally picked up and he seemed a little annoyed.
"Hey Neeks." Percy scrunched up his face. "Kinda interrupted something there."
"Oh, I'm sorry, are you and Annabeth making out or something?" Nico questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, not making out, it is sort of a special date that we're on." Annabeth said, appearing in frame.
"Oh, hey Annie." Nico waved.
"Hi Nico, nice to see you again." Annabeth smiled at Nico.
"Mmhm, you too." Nico smiled.
"Where are you two anyway?"
"We're at the park, where we had our first date." Percy answered.
"Oh is it your anniversary?" Nico asked.
"Not yet, but it's still sort of a special day." Annabeth smiled at Nico.
"... Uh-huh." Nico nodded.
"So, what did you need?" Percy asked, tilting his head.
"Oh! Right, uhm. Will and I are going on a date later on this week! And we're just gonna go on a few dates, get to know each other and... become official." Nico smiled.
Percy blinked and Annabeth smiled.
"Wow! That's really awesome, Nico. I mean-" Annabeth began.
Nico squinted his eyes.
"Magnus told you, didn't he?" Nico questioned.
Annabeth grimaced a little but she smiled at Nico.
"Gah, you know me too well. But I'm still really happy for you, Nico. We both are. Right, Percy?" Annabeth looked at Percy.
"... I need to meet this Will guy." Percy said.
Annabeth furrowed her eyebrows and Nico blinked.
"What? Why?" Nico questioned.
"Because! I need to make sure he's good for you!!" Percy exclaimed. "I can't let you date a guy you barely know-!"
"Which is why we're going on a few dates first before we actually officiallly start dating?!" Nico scowled.
"No, nope, still gotta meet him!" Percy glared at Nico. "And you're not allowed to say no! Or else, I'm making sure that your dad will keep you locked in the house and lose contact with Will!"
Nico raised his eyebrows.
"Oh, you are so annoying!" Nico whined.
"Nico, I just wanna make sure you're not making a mistake-!" Percy began.
"Will is my soulmate, Percy!" Nico cut Percy off.
"Nope! Not until I approve of him!" Percy exclaimed.
Nico glared at Percy and Percy glared back.
Annabeth sighed and she took Percy's phone, looking at Nico.
"Neeks, hey. How about a double date? Mmh? I'll make sure Percy doesn't embarrass you or makes a scene, and it lets Percy get to know Will too, make sure he is good for you." Annabeth said.
"Annie, you cannot be encouraging this-" Nico began.
"Nico, I know Percy. Dating him for three years, in a little while, it'll be four years. Just one double date, and even if Percy doesn't approve? Just date Will anyway." Annabeth smiled.
"Percy can't control your life."
Nico grumbled.
"Fine, I'll talk to Will about it and I'll get back to you, Annabeth. You'll get the double date set up, I don't trust Percy to do it." Nico said.
"Sounds good, message me whenever." Annabeth smiled. "We'll talk soon, bye-bye now."
"Bye." Nico sighed.
"By-!" Percy began.
Nico hung up before Percy could finish saying goodbye.
Nico couldn't believe this. Percy seemed happy to embarrass Nico when he and Will weren't even dating or aware of each other's feeling, but now? Percy is acting like a super overprotective older brother and that was just annoying Nico since-
Nico looked at his phone as he got a message from Will. Nico began to smile as he went onto his chat with Will.

Will had instantly facetimed Nico and Nico answered as quickly as he could. Will connected and he smiled at Nico.
"Hey!" Will exclaimed. "What're you up to?"
Nico sighed as he leaned back in his bed.
"Oh, well, called Percy to tell him about us, he got super overprotective and so... how do you feel going on a double date with Percy and Annabeth sometime soon so Percy can see if you're good enough for me?" Nico asked, smiling at Will.
Will blinked.
"... Do I have a choice?" Will asked.
"Not really." Nico shrugged.
Will smiled. "Alright, double date with your cousin and Magnus's cousin! Sounds fun!"
Nico smiled.
"Alright, Annabeth will set it up, so it should be somewhat nice." Nico said.
"Mmh... let's put that topic to rest for now and maybe discuss something else." Will said.
"Like what?"
"Erm, I dunno! What do you wanna talk about?"
"How hilarious it was to see Octavian with two black eyes?"
"Sure! We can talk about that!"
