Chapter 6

Will tapped his foot against the ground as he was waiting by the front of the school. He assumed Nico was going to get driven to school by his dad again, so Will wanted to wait for Nico. He even sent Nico a message to let him know.

A couple people walked by and greeted Will, Will greeted them back. Will wasn't popular, but he was one of those kids that everyone knew. People came to him for help if they needed something from him and Will was always happy to help.

Will looked around and he saw a car pulling up by the front of the school. Will waited patiently and he saw it was the same car Nico had went to when he was going back home yesterday. A few moments passed and Will watched as Nico got out of the car and held onto his bag strap, quickly saying bye to his father.

Nico shut the car door and he looked ahead, seeing Will was there. Will smiled at Nico and waved at him. Will noticed that Nico's cheeks seemed to turn a little pink.

Nico made his way up to Will.
"Waiting for me, really?" Nico questioned.
"Well, I assumed we're just going to spend our days together from now on." Will smiled. "I mean, ya can't really avoid me since we share all classes and we sit together in a lot of them too."
Nico hummed.
"Good points." Nico nodded.

Nico began to walk off, heading towards the entrance. Will quickly followed alongside Nico.
"So, you deleted a message last night. What was that about?" Will asked.
"Huh? Oh, it was nothing." Nico shook his head, shrugging slightly. "Don't worry about it, it was something stupid."
Will hummed.

"Anyway! We have Italian first! So, you excited to start speaking your native language first thing in the morning?" Will asked, smiling at Nico
Nico looked at Will.
"Sicuramente, sarà così divertente!" Nico exclaimed, smiling sarcastically at Will.
"... Wait, erm... 'Definitely, it's going to be so fun'?" Will translated, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked at Nico for confirmation.

"Huh, look at you." Nico said, nudging Will in the arm with his elbow. "Looks like someone's good at Italian."
Will smiled, his cheeks warming up.
"Well, I learned a little bit of Italian when I was younger. And I tried to teach myself some Italian outside of school to improve!" Will exclaimed. "So, I guess you could call me a pro?"
Nico raised his eyebrows.

"Sei un idiota."
"... That is so sweet of you!! Like I said before, you're great at flirting, di Angelo."
"I'm not flirting, I am stating a fact, you're an idiot."
"... Oh, how I am swooning!!!"

Will had wrapped his arm around Nico's shoulder and Nico couldn't help but smile while he rolled his eyes.

Nico was copying down the notes from the board as the teacher was talking through what they were working on. Yeah, Nico didn't really have to try so hard since he was already fluent in Italian, but he had to make it seem like he was working and-

Nico looked over at Will, who sat next to him, and was doodling something on the next page of his notebook. Nico blinked as he looked at Will. Will looked at Nico and smiled. Will grabbed a post-it note and wrote on it.
'Do you like it?'

Nico looked at the doodles and he grabbed the post-it note Will wrote on, writing back on it.
'I mean, you're talented. But on my notes? Really?'
Will frowned as he read it before he wrote something underneath Nico's response.
'Want me to draw on my post-it notes give it to you then?'
Nico glanced at Will and Will smiled at Nico.

'You should pay attention to class.'
'You can tutor me if I need help.'
'Who said that I'd help you?'
'Ouch.'

Nico smiled slightly as he wrote down something.
'Fine, draw me as much stuff as you want, I'll help you out with Italian if you start to struggle with it.'
Will's eyes sparkled as he saw Nico's response and he set it aside as he grabbed another post-it note and he began to doodle on it. Nico glanced at Will doodling and he smiled as he focused back on the work.

The period had passed and Will had given Nico a little stack of post-it notes, placing it in his notebook.
"You can look at them later!" Will exclaimed as he closed his notebook and began to pack away his things.
Nico smiled as he looked at the first post-it note and it was a doodle of a cute little cat.
"Thank you for all the cute doodles." Nico said as he shut his notebook with the doodles in it.

Will smiled at Nico as Nico now packed away his things.
"Very happy to doodle all period for ya!" Will exclaimed.
"Shh, don't let the teacher hear you." Nico said in a hushed tone, grinning at Will.
Will couldn't stop smiling.

"Alright, well we got maths next! You ready to-?"
"Ugh, nope. Never ready for anything to do in maths."
"...Mood."
