After working all year, it was finally time for vacation.Savannah invited me to Monaco. She said I deserved a nice vacation.
And honestly, I couldn't agree more.
We spend the entire day on the beach, just doing nothing. It's what Savannah liked most.
Lounging, doing nothing, partying. I don't know what else she did if I was honest.
She always told me to loosen up a little and maybe she was right, that's why I was here after all.
"Hi Savannah" a girl behind the bar smiled at her. "The usual?"
Savannah smiled and nodded. I guess she was a regular here. Didn't really surprise me.
"And for you?" She asked, looked at me this time. "Just rum and coke please"
She nodded, grabbed two glasses and a couple of bottles.
"So you guys are friends?" She asked as she looked at the both of us.
"She's my sister" Savannah nodded. "My baby sister"
She liked saying that, telling people I was younger, even though I was only one year and a half younger than her.
"I am Riley" I looked at the girl. "And I'm indeed her younger sister"
"I didn't know she had a sister" the bartender said, put the drink in front of me. "I am Jess"
"Nice to meet you" I smiled, took a sip from my drink and fuck, even though it was just a rum and coke, this was the best drink I've ever had.
I am sure she did something with it to make it taste this nice.
"Nice to meet you too" she smiled. "If you want another drink just shout"
"So how is the business doing?" Savannah asked as she turned to me.
Our dad owned a big company, build it from the ground up and now it was a multinational company.
Savannah never really cared about it, she only cared about the money he made and the events.
Not all events though, only the ones she was interested in.
But I was pretty involved with the company. I took care of everything related with the employees. Made sure they received their paycheck before Savannah would spend it all.
"Good, lots of work though" I said.
She just nodded. "I can imagine"
But she couldn't imagine because she never worked a day in her life.
"But I'm glad you're here now" she nudged me. I had to admit it was pretty crazy to be here. Haven't spend much time with her over the years.
We were just so different.
The entire night, I felt eyes on me. Jess was talking to another bartender, while looking at us.
I swear they were talking about us.
"Let's go dance" Savannah said, already grabbing my arm and pulling me with her.
She was looking at someone else the entire time we were dancing. I bet she wanted his attention, but the guy was not even looking at her.
He wasn't giving her any attention.
Instead, he leaned closer to one of his friends, said something in his ear and walked out of the club.
"I am thirsty" she said as she grabbed my arm again and pulled me back to the bar.
"Who was that?" I asked. Pretty sure she knew exactly who I was talking about.
He was probably the reason why she dragged me to this club in the first place."Oh that?" She shrugged. "No one"
"So you don't fancy him?" I raised my eyebrow. "Him? No not at all" she chuckled a little.
She wasn't a good liar. I didn't even need to mention his name and she knew who I was talking about.
But I wasn't gonna push it. Didn't want to ruin our vacation together.
After all, it was nice to spend some time with her again.
