CHAPTER: S&F

Note: This chapter is like a bonus chapter. I wanted to showcase Shannon and Feely coming together as friends to discuss the relationship of Lizzie and Katie. :)) thats all

Shannon

I'm sitting next to my boyfriend during lunch, but most of my attention is on Feely.

"Feely, do you know..?" About Lizzie and Katie?

He takes a bite of this banana he's eating, giving me a slight nod.

I sit up straighter, leaning a little closer to say more but then stopping myself.

I turned to Johnny, "I need to pick up something for my locker, I'll-"

He immediately slides his fingers from my waist to my hand, squeezing it and rising.

"I'm going with Feely!" I whisper-yell, pulling him back down to sit.

He side eyes me as he falls back down on his seat.

I lean in and give him a chaste kiss on the cheek, smiling. "I'll be quick."

Feely stands up and gives Johnny a nod, making my boyfriend sigh.

"Okay." He mumbles, kissing me on the lips before I scramble to catch up with Feely.

We might get in trouble for roaming the halls during lunch, so we talk while walking to the boys locker room.

When there's absolutely no one around I let out a sigh of relief, "Oh my god, can you believe it, Feely? Lizzie and Katie!" I say happily but my smile fades.

Lizzie and Katie never liked eachother in the past, so now that they do, I'm glad that they were able to make it up.

But at the same time, Katie is still with Hugh and he has no idea about any of this.

They're going to destroy everything.

Feely notices the anxious look on my face and gives my shoulder an affectionate rub, "I get it, Shan. It's still kind of hard to believe. They're complete opposites, no?"

I nod. "Totally. But, I'm so happy for them! They've been looking happier too, have you noticed?"

Feely turns pensive before he nods. "..Yeah, actually. You're right. Katie looks brighter and I've seen Lizzie smile more often."

I grin. "Katie makes Lizzie happy. Who would've thought."

Feely chuckles and he sneaks me into the boys locker room.

"I think that Liz ended things with Pierce, so it's just Katie who needs to let go of Hugh. But they've been together forever.." I huff, sitting down on an open bench. Feely leans against a locker.

He shrugs, "All I can say is that I wish them luck. It's not socially acceptable yet to like the same sex, you know?" He murmurs.

I frown but can't help agreeing with him. It's 2005, after all.

Anxiety spears through my chest. What if Lizzie gets jumped or something for dating a girl? What if Katie gets bullied?

I fidget with my fingers as all these thoughts run through my head. I don't know how much time passes until Feely finally clears his throat.

"We should head back, Johnny must be getting concerned right about now. But, I'm glad we had this talk, Shan."

"We? It felt like I was blabbering the whole time, Feely!" I say, my cheeks getting hot in embarrassment.

He laughs, shaking his head.

We walk back to the cafeteria and don't bring it up ever again.
