Note: this is very random but I've been listening to Monster by Lady Gaga and it got me thinking... vampire feely x casey..?? hello?? maybe my next fic will be that to feed the caseyfeely fans out there

85 lbs.

Lizzie avoids me like the plague as soon as we get back to school.

I know she avoids me all the time, but today it's different. She doesn't even look at me.

I'm scared to admit that I'm getting desperate.

Desperate for an explanation.

So when Hugh suggests that she tags along on the ride back home after school, I practically jump for joy.

"Yeah, Lizzie can come with us. She doesn't live far." I respond quickly.

Thankfully, he doesn't over analyze what I said, and I let out a soft sigh of relief.

I head to his car in the parking lot and climb into the back seat as he heads to get Lizzie.

I wait 20 minutes for him to come back.

It feels like longer.

The backseat door opens and Lizzie slides in, putting her backpack on the floor. She doesn't even look at me.

I scoot over a little bit so she has more space, leaving a wide gap between us as Hugh climbs into the front seat. I hold my backpack against my side the whole time.

I sneak glances at her, swallowing thickly.

I hate her so much but I can't stop looking. Lizzie Young, why do you have to be so beautiful?

And to think she's the same girl who forced her knee between my thighs and nearly made me come.

She clears her throat and I quickly turn my head, looking out the window.

The drive is quiet except for the soft music playing in the car.

I slowly turn my head and open my mouth to say something, but Lizzie interrupts, saying, "Lovely day, isn't it?"

My eyes widen and my cheeks flush as I fidget with my hands, looking down at them.

"Yeah. Hasn't been raining lately, thank fuck." Hugh mutters.

I tuck a straight strand of hair behind my ear.

After 2 agonizingly long minutes of silence, I turn to look at Lizzie again and say something, but she grabs her backpack.

"You can drop me off here."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Your house is not anyone near-"

"Drop me off here, Hugh."

He finally relents as he brings the car to a stop and unlocks the doors. She mutters 'thank you' and gets out, but I get out as well and follow after her.

I don't hear whatever Hugh says as I follow after her.

"Katie, please, just leave me the fuck alone." She said as she speed walks.

"I just want to talk about what happened on Friday, Lizzie, please just hear me ou-"

"There's no point bringing it up so you should just run back to Hughie, and pretend to be the perfect little girlfriend for him, and leave me alone!"

"Lizzie!" I shout back, grabbing on her wrists and bringing her to a halt.

Her chest is heaving as she turns and looks down at me with anger in her eyes.

"I thought about what happened all weekend, Liz. And I need to know what.. what are you thinking?" I ask softly, my grip on her wrists loosening.

She stares at me silently for awhile before leaning in closer, her breath intermingling with mine.

"What I'm thinking," she whispers, "Is that the whole thing was a mistake. On my part."

My chest hollows.

"I was drunk."

I have nothing to say. Maybe she's right.

"You'll always be a pussy, Katie. That's all Hugh views you as, you know that? No matter how hard you try to impress people, show that you're worth something, we all only view you as a little bitch to fuck over."

And then she walks away as my hands fall to my sides.

I ask Hugh to drop me off at my house early. I don't eat dinner and I cry myself to sleep that night.
