"Hello, Rosemary!" Snowflake meowed cheerfully. Rosemary smiled and dipped her head. It was a beuatiful morning, and everyone was eating. Rosemary shared prey with Brook, and she just swallowed her last bite. "I'm going back to my den." Rosemary meowed to Brook. Brook nodded. As Rosemary padded back to her den, Brook suddenly followed her. "I'm going to go hunting if you want to find me." Brook announced. "Alright." Rosemary meowed, "But be back before sun-fall." Brook looked crest-fallen, "But I wanted to hunt untill moonhigh." She complained.

"Why?"

"I just...really like hunting."

"Don't lie."

"I'm not."

"Prove it."

"Just let me go hunting on my own for this once."

"Fine."

She watched Brook pad away. Was she going to meet someone? Like Blaze? She slowly creeped after her, hiding in the bushes. Brook didn't even notice her, she looked really excited. She followed Brook the rest of the way, and eventually she stopped in front of a brown tom. "Branch!" She purred, and she licked his cheek. Branch smiled and twined tails. "I'm sorry I'm late." Brook meowed, "I had to convince my mother. I didn't want her to find out, since she wouldn't like you. I mean, you were one of the cats who lured the fox to her mate, which is my father."

As the words were spoken, Rosemary felt a blast of anger and sadness. This cat lured the fox to her and Blaze! Branch sighed, "I didn't do it on purpose. A black cat named Nightmare convinced me to." He meowed. Nightmare! Nightmare was..here? Brook nodded and smiled, "I know it wasn't your fault." She meowed. "Anyways, I have to go." Brook sighed. Branch sighed, and nodded, "I'll see you around." He meowed as he walked away. Rosemary watched Brook pad away, then raced back to camp.

When Brook went home, she would talk to her. Why did both my daughters find mates that I didn't approve of? She thought angrily. She crashed through the fern entrance, ignoring the surprised looks burning her pelt, and raced to her den. Everything saddened her or angered her! Why?!
