"WAKE UP!!" Rosemary bolted to her paws, "Wha-?" Blaze's eyes were panicked, "SNOWFLAKE!! She's GONE!!" He shrieked. Snowflake! She ducked under the entrance and raced out of camp with Blaze. It wasn't long until they met Nightmare. At Nightmare's paws was Snowflake, she had several light scratches on her. And Nightmare wasn't alone. He had a whole band of rogues. "I will give back this pathetic kit for the stone." Nightmare calmly meowed. "Never!" Blaze hissed. "You can never have any of them!" Nightmare chuckled, "But I already have one." He meowed, "Adder!" Nightmare turned to face a brown tom with gleaming amber eyes.

"Take her away." He ordered. Adder nodded and approached Snowflake, pushing her to her paws and leading her away. "No!" She whispered. Nightmare smiled evily at them, "Tell me when you want to change your mind." He meowed, turning away and leading the rest of the rogues away. Rosemary gazed helplessly after them. Blaze quickly made a plan.

"Sneak in their camp, spy on them, one of us distract them, and the other gets Snowflake." He urgently whispered. She nodded and they quickly got the a nice spot where they could spy on them. The brown tom they saw, Adder, was guarding a den with another yellow-orange tom. "Hornet, I bet they're gonna give back the stone, Nightmare's plan was incredibile!" Adder eagerly meowed. The other tom, Hornet, meowed, "I guess. I just hope we don't guard this kit forever." She counted, and there was nine rogues in total, not including Nightmare.

From their conversations, she found out their names. There was Adder, Hornet, a she-cat called Juniper, another she-cat called Raven, a tom called Flint, a she-cat called Ember, a tom called Thorn, a she-cat called Lynx, and another she-cat called Echo. Raven and Lynx were guarding the camp entrance, and the other cats were chatting and eating prey. "You distract them." Rosemary meowed. "Wait, I have another idea. If I distract them, they'll suspect you will try to get Snowflake, we need a new cat." Blaze pointed out. Rosemary sighed, "Alright then."

They snuck out, and got back to their camp. There, they found a gray she-cat with sleek fur and sharp green eyes. She was waiting for them. "Hello." She greeted. "Um, who are you?" Rosemary asked. The cat purred, "My name is Mist. I was Shadow's sister. I joined Nightmare, because I wanted to save him from death, unlike Shadow, but he exiled me after I questioned him." She explained. "I then watched them, and found you. And I know what you want me to do." She mewed. Blaze hesitated, "Alright. You go distract them then." He meowed. Mist nodded, then raced away.

Soon enough, they heard a yowl, and they bounded back to their spying spot. The only cats gurding the den was Echo and Flint. She could see Mist's green eyes watching the rogue cats from the ferns. She must have lured the other cats away and ran back to hide. Rosemary thought. She and Blaze nodded at Mist, and they pounced. Blaze landed on Echo's back, and Echo hissed in surprise. Rosemary slashed her flank, and Blaze dug his claws on her shoulders. Echo glared at them, and swiped Rosemary's nose. Ow! Blaze snarled at Echo, then pinned her down, but Echo bit down in Blaze's neck.

No! Rosemary swiped Echo's belly as Blaze let out a silenced yowl and fell to the ground. Soon, Mist joined her after Flint ran away. Soon, Echo ran away, too, yowling in fear. They quickly got Snowflake, helped Blaze up, and ran back to camp. "Thank you so much, Mist." Rosemary meowed as they settled into the hidden tree stump. Mist smiled, "It was my pleasure. I'll see you around!" Mist meowed before ducking under the entrance and bounding away. This is the happy life I wanted. Rosemary thought as the sun began to sink.

She yawned as lay down. Snowflake and Blaze settled down, too, and slipped into sleep. Tommorow, we'll fix Blaze's wound, and teach the rogues a lesson. Rosemary thought. But for right now, we can rest. Thank you mother, thank you father, for bringing me into this wonderful world and giving me a happy life. Rosemary thought before resting her head on her paws and slipping into sleep.
