BETWEEN Zero and Sevyn, he was the louder sibling.

Always speaking his mind whether his opinion mattered not. But when it came to serious moments, he went silent. He was never well with handling his emotions.

The night Fez had told Benny, Sevyn was found and it was his own mother who kept her hidden away from the world made his stomach turn. Even at such a young age, Zero wished that Alana took him instead of Sevyn.

Sure, to this day he didn't know what Sevyn had completely been through, but he knew it was sickening.

He felt helpless not knowing where his sister had gone and that nothing in his power could make the situation better.

The two most important women in his life were both corrupted.

So when he found out Laurie had decided to put a bounty out on Rue, he had to put Sevyn first.

This was Rue's issue to fix, and he wasn't letting Sevyn get in the way of it.

Sevyn was lying in her bed, letting the tv play jersey shore softly in the background.

She had been dealing with sleeping for a longer period of time than usual. Sure, she'd get some every now and then but they became more frequent.

Too frequent enough that Benny and Zero slowly started to notice her up later than usual.

Maddy was also confused on why some nights Sevyn would decline sleeping over.

Shit was starting to overflow and it showed.

As she began to doze off again, the image of the man forcefully pulling off her pants through the loud sobs.

"S-Stop! I said stop!" A young Sevyn cried, having a slight rasp from screaming so much and becoming tired.

"You asked for this." He responded with a sickening smile and kissing her cheek.

Sevyn jolted up, no longer wanting to lay down on her bed.

Zero appeared in the door way. "Pack a bag." Was all he said to his sister.

"What?" Sevyn furrowed her brows.

"Pineapple."

The word echoed throughout the younger girl's head, bringing her back to the days of their childhood.

Pineapple was the code Benny had given the two when they needed to go somewhere. He never used it since it was either him or Marie to take the kids out of town, but he explained it to them before.

"Use this word for emergencies and it's time to go. You'll get your answers later, but when you hear that word...Dad needs you two to be on go, understand?"
