A few minutes later..
Soon after I grabbed Hayley some water, Elijah returns with the Witch Sophie. Curious, I take my leave of Hayley, and head into the study with them, where Davina's drawing of Celeste rested on a table. "So, you've stolen the remains of the very person that Davina's been drawing for months. Would you care to explain this startling coincidence?" Elijah asks. Bending down to observe the drawings better, Sophie speaks. "I can't. I didn't even know who Celeste Dubois was until I-" Sophie's cut off by Davina's scream, as another earthquake starts. Klaus rolls his eyes, as he sips at his alcohol, while a couple glasses fall from the shelves. Thankfully, this earthquake was much more docile than the last one, due to the sedatives given to her after she awoke. Before long, the earthquake stops as quick as it came. Sighing in relief, I casually lean my shoulder against the doorway, crossing my legs at the ankles, and looking back to her. Looking around startled, Sophie speaks. "Was that Davina..?" She asks in shock. "Charming little habit she's developed." Klaus says sarcastically. "And the earthquake I felt today?" She asks. "Also, Davina. And she's taken to vomiting dirt, as well." Rebekah explains.
Worry quickly floods Sophie's features. "We have a huge problem.." she says, looking to Elijah. "I thought that we had more time, but, we need to complete the Harvest, now." She adds. "Said the desperate Witch, conveniently.." Klaus says, taking another sip from his glass. "The Harvest..? What's that..?" I ask confused, looking around at the three Originals. "Oh, you haven't heard..? Here I thought Elijah would've already filled you in." Klaus says, looking to me with a smirk. I give him a look. "I will explain later, for now.." Elijah trails off, looking back to Sophie. "Elaborate." He says, motioning Sophie to continue. Nodding, she speaks. "That earthquake you just felt, a preview of the disaster movie that is about to hit us." She explains. Hearing her words, I can't help but tilt my head curiously. "Why should we believe you?" Elijah asks skeptically. "You've met Davina, you know her story. For months now, she's been holding all the power of the three girls sacrificed in the Harvest Ritual." She explains. "A force that was meant to flow through her and back into the earth. One person was never meant to hold that much power. It's tearing her apart, and it will take us down with it." Sophie finishes, making us all exchange a worried glance.
A few moments later..
After a lovely conversation about which elements were going to try to kill us all next, Klaus leaves to speak to the leader of the Human council here in New Orleans, while Rebekah goes to speak to Davina. Leaving me, Marcel, and Elijah with the Witch. "The last stage is Fire...and since it's the last.." she trails off. "It'll be the worst.." I think to myself outloud, earning a nod of confirmation from Sophie. I look to Elijah in worry. Seeing this, he sighs, and speaks. "You've convinced my siblings, but you have yet to convince us." Elijah says, motioning to Marcel and himself. "We don't have time to waste! The first sign's already come and gone!" Sophie says. "So fix her." Marcel says. "She can't be fixed. She cannot be saved. This will not stop at the Earth Sign. And if you wait it out.." Sophie trails off, before looking to Elijah and I. "You Immortals will be the only ones left to argue about it." Sophie says, before the shudders on the windows slam open, startling us as loud, howling wind finds our ears. Hearing this, Elijah instinctively places me behind him, as he turns around, and peers out the window closest to us.
