The next morning..

As I awaken from sleep, I'm met with the sight of Elijah's sleeping face, only a few inches away from my own. Seeing this, feeling his arms still wrapped around me, I can't help the small smile that follows. But, after a few moments however, reality comes crashing down onto my shoulders, when I see his sweat covered features. The effects of Klaus' venom will be worse now.. Knowing his suffering was far from over, I sigh, and carefully ease out of his arms, so I don't disturb him. Once free, I stand, and check the bowl of water. Feeling the warm water within I sigh, dip the cloth inside, before wringing it out, and gently placing it onto his forehead. This'll have to do, while I get fresh water for him.. With that thought, I lift the bowl into my hands, and make my way towards the door. As I do, another thought comes to mind. I should check on Hayley while I'm at it, see if she needs anything.. Nodding to myself, I quietly exit the room, and make my way to the front.

Entering the front room, I see Hayley reading what looked to be an old bible. "Morning." I say quietly. Looking up from the book, Hayley nods at me. "Hey, morning." She says. "How are you and the baby feeling? Hungry yet?" I ask. Smirking, she nods. "We're fine. As for whether we're hungry or not, we are, but, we're kind of out of options at the moment.." she explains, motioning towards the open, empty cupboards. Nodding, I think of what I can do. I can't go into town, without risking running into Klaus, which means we're stuck here in the Bayou, that means.. Coming out of my thoughts, I look towards her. "Actually...that isn't completely true.." I say. "What do you mean..?" She asks. Smirking, I speak. "You wouldn't happen to be allergic to fish, would you..?" I ask curiously. "No, why..?" She asks. Hearing this, I remain silent, and smirk. "Give me an hour." Is all I say, before walking out the door.

A couple hours later..

After fetching some cool, fresh water for Elijah, I catch some fish and roast them on the hot embers of a small campfire for Hayley. "Where'd you learn to do this?" She asks, as I hand her a fish on a stick. Smirking, I speak. "Before moving to Florida, my uncle and I used to camp out in the Blue Mountains during the Full Moon. He taught me how to do it, incase something ever happened to him. Whether it be by Hunters or us simply getting split up while in wolf form, he wanted to make sure I was able to take care of myself if need be. So, he taught me how to cook Bass on a stick." I explain. Hearing this, Hayley nods. "Right, Tyler...told me about him a while back...for what it's worth, I'm sorry for your loss...I know you two were close.." she says apologetically. Hearing this, I give a small smile. "Thanks.." I say quietly, before lowering my head silently. For a few moments, neither of us say a word. But, after a while, I clear my throat, and look around, observing our surroundings, before glancing back towards the cabin.

The moment I do, Hayley speaks

The moment I do, Hayley speaks. "How long do you think he has before the venom's gone from his system..?" She asks. Sighing, I shake my head. "I don't know, I only found out about the effects our venom has on Them last year.." I admit, before sighing. "But, if I had to guess...I'd say he's got at least another day, maybe two, before it passes through completely.." I say. "His hallucinations started last night, but there's supposed to be dementia too, right?" I ask. Nodding, she speaks. "Yeah, but since you're here now, his hallucinations should stop, right?" She asks. "Doubtful. He probably won't 'see' me anymore, but I doubt that's a cure all. His mind will most likely find something else to torment him with in my place...what that'll be, however, I couldn't say.." I say thoughtfully, before sighing. "Guess we'll deal with it when it comes." She says. Nodding in agreement, I give a small smile. Soon, Hayley's eyes set on something. Curious, I furrow my brows, and look in that direction, seeing a White haired woman hiding a few yards away. Although creepy, the way she watched from afar, told me she wasn't an immediate threat. If anything, the way she's hiding, makes me think we're the ones posing a threat.. Looking back to Hayley, I speak. "Friend of yours?" I ask quietly. "I think...she's part of the Pack that lives here.." she explains.
