Death, Betrayal, and finding Love where she had least expected. It'd be an understatement, to say Raelyn's life had not been easy..
After a tough decision having been made, Raelyn finds herself in New Orleans four and a half months later. There, she...
As I'm just finishing putting away the dishes, I hear footsteps approach. "Hey, Rae, did you order something?" Hayley calls to me, just before walking into the kitchen. Furrowing my brows, I speak. "No, why?" I ask confused, glancing over my shoulder. "Because there's a package for you outside.." she explains. Hearing this, I turn to her. "A package..? You sure it isn't yours?" I ask. "Positive. It says your name and everything." She explains. Furrowing brow, I make my way to the front door. Seeing a medium-sized box sitting on the doormat, I open up the door. Once in my hands, I look over the box's surface. She's right, it's addressed to me, but...where'd it come from..? Thinking this, I use my foot to move the partly open door, and walk inside. Carefully setting the box on the living room table, I cautiously open it. There was a layer of tissue paper hiding the contents, but a note rested atop the paper. Taking the note in hand, it doesn't take long to recognize the fluid handwriting. A small smile soon finds my features, as I finish reading.
Just as I do, Hayley comes over in curiosity. "So, if you didn't order anything, who did..?" She asks, trying to peek over my shoulder, as I move the tissue paper out of the way. Looking down at the open package, seeing it's contents, I give a defeated yet amused sigh. As I thought.. Smiling to myself, I speak. "I'll give you one guess.." is all I say, before turning to the side, so Hayley can see. Seeing the dress within, it doesn't take her long. Smirking, she speaks. "Elijah." She says knowingly. "Mhm, he even left a note." I say, passing the paper to her. Reading it, her brows furrow in confusion. "'Although I was planning to wear this myself, I believe it'll suit you better than I'..?" she reads outloud, in confusion. Laughing softly, I explain the context behind that.
Understanding the joke, she rolls her eyes and scoffs in amusement, before she continues to read. "Hmm...oh, it's for the party I told you about earlier. Y'know, the one you said you wouldn't go to, because you 'didn't have anything to wear'.." she says, mocking quotation marks with her fingers. "Yeah, yeah.." I say, rolling my eyes as I wave her off, earning an amused smirk. With that, she continues to read. "'As I'm sure you're aware, I am throwing a small party tonight, in hopes that the Alliance I am aiming for, can be brought into fruition. The party starts at 7pm, I hope to see you there...Forever Yours, Elijah..'" Hayley says, sticking out her bottom lip for a second. "Alright, that's cute. You're going now, right? Tell me you're going." She says. Sighing in defeat, I laugh quietly. "Well, I don't really have a choice now, do I?" I ask, pointing at the dress. "Nope." She says with a smirk. "Guess you'll be getting your way, after all.." I say, crossing my arms over my chest, as I once again stare down at the familiar dress before me.

"I'm impressed, brother." Niklaus says, looking around the large crowd of party goers. "Yes, now if I could just keep them from tearing one another to shreds.." I say, continuing to scan the crowd curiously. "Well then, for your sake, here's to a spectacularly boring evening.." he says, before holding up his glass of champagne. Sighing quietly at his remark, I clink mine with his, before continuing to look over the crowd. "Looking for something in particular, brother..?" He asks, catching my attention. "If you must know, then yes. The Wolves were given an invitation, just as the other Factions were. Yet I do not see them here. I had thought, what with them sending Hayley to interrupt my meeting a few days prior, they would've been the first to show.." I say, both answering and avoiding his question.
