Travis woke up around 4 am, the soft light from the TV illuminating the room with a dim glow. The screen showed the familiar "Are you still watching?" message, indicating the show they had been watching had long since ended. As he stretched, he noticed Taylor curled up next to him, peacefully asleep. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of her, so serene, her chest rising and falling with each breath.
Carefully, he maneuvered off the couch, trying not to wake her as he gently picked her up in his arms. She stirred slightly but didn't wake as he carried her to her bed. Travis laid her down softly, pulling the covers over her and brushing a few strands of hair from her face. For a moment, he hesitated, wanting to kiss her, but decided against it. Just as he turned to leave, Taylor's hand gently grabbed his arm.
"Stay with me, please," she asked, her voice soft and angelic.
He couldn't say no. Travis slipped into bed beside her, curling up close and wrapping his arm around her, tucking his head just behind hers. He pressed a soft kiss to her neck and sighed. Taylor wiggled in closer, drifting back to sleep, while Travis lay there, trying to steady his breathing, doing everything he could to not let her notice the arousal building inside him from being so close. The scent of lavender with a hint of vanilla enveloped him, soothing yet intoxicating.
When Taylor woke up, she found herself intertwined with Travis, his body warm and solid next to hers. She rolled over to face him, taking a moment to admire him. Gently, she traced her finger along his face, down his neck, and over his chest. He looked happy, and she found herself wondering what he dreamed about.
As if sensing her thoughts, Travis stirred and pulled her in. "Mmmm, I could get used to this," he murmured, his voice deep and drowsy.
"I didn't mean to wake you," Taylor whispered, her leg sliding over his hip. Travis's hand moved to her lower back, pulling her tightly against him.
"Tay, it took everything in me last night not to ask you to have sex," he admitted, his voice tinged with playful frustration. "Even now, all I want to do is roll you on your back and feel you under me while I'm inside you."
Taylor smiled, her heart fluttering at his flirty advances. "I want you too, but I think we should wait a little longer. How many days do you have before you absolutely have to be back in Kansas City?"
"I only booked the hotel for last night because I didn't know if we'd hit it off and figured I'd head back today if needed," Travis replied, his hand gently stroking her back. "But I don't have to be back for a few more days. Do you want me to make you a coffee, then we are figure out our day. You tell me, farmers market, walk in the park, New York tourist things, or even just stay in and cook dinner together. I want to do whatever you want to do today."
"I need to have a shower," Taylor said, looking up at him with a teasing smile. "Want to join me?"
Travis's eyes lit up as he jumped out of bed. "You'll never have to ask me twice for that."
They walked into her ensuite bathroom together. The space was pristine, all white with a large walk-in shower equipped with multiple jets, a waterfall and rain shower heads. Travis took in the luxurious surroundings, his gaze lingering on the large soaker tub in the corner.
"Do you think I can fit in that tub?" he asked with a grin, hopping in and shimmying around to show that there was plenty of room for two.
Taylor giggled, watching him playfully. "Get those clothes off, babe. Oh, and I texted my driver, he's already gone to your hotel to get your things. He'll check you out, and you're staying with me until you have to leave."
As the hot water poured over them, Taylor's hands ran up Travis's wet chest and over his neck, letting the water cascade between them. She loved a scalding hot shower, but she could tell he wasn't used to the heat, so she adjusted the temperature just enough to keep them both comfortable. Travis's hands moved over her body slowly, as if he were mapping out every inch of her, committing her to memory like he was creating his own personal playbook.
