Travis had been preparing for Taylor's return with a level of care and detail that would make even the most meticulous planner proud. The week before, he had driven to the local florist, a quaint little shop he had discovered when he first moved to Kansas City. The florist, an older woman named Annette, greeted him with a knowing smile as he walked through the door.
"Well, if it isn't Mr. Kelce," she teased, wiping her hands on her apron. "Here to pick out something special again?"
Travis grinned, leaning against the counter. "You know it, Annette. But this time, I need the works... something big, beautiful, and unforgettable."
Annette's eyes sparkled. "What are we talking, son? Two dozen red roses?"
Travis shook his head, chuckling. "Nope, not even close. I need fifty-one dozens of roses, all different colors. One for every day we've been apart."
Annette's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Fifty-one? Goodness, that's a lot of love, Travis," she said with a laugh. "You're setting the bar pretty high for the rest of the men out there, you know that?"
Travis nodded, grinning sheepishly. "I'm just trying to make sure she knows how much I've missed her. I want them spread throughout the house—everywhere she'll look, I want her to feel it."
Annette immediately got to work, pulling out her notes and jotting down the specifics. "We'll get a mix of colors, reds, pinks, whites, and maybe some yellow and peach ones too. It'll look like a rose garden exploded in your home," she joked.
Travis laughed, but he nodded earnestly. "That's exactly what I want."

Taylor was finally on her way back home from London, utterly exhausted and longing to reach Kansas City as soon as possible. Her first stop was in Nashville to drop off her parents, and although the flight was smooth, she felt the fatigue weighing heavily on her. All she wanted now was to be back with Travis, where she could finally relax and let her guard down.
Travis pulled up to the airport in his Land Rover, having received word from her team that she was bringing back four pieces of luggage, with the rest to follow in a few days. They only had until the weekend before heading to their Rhode Island house to finish off the summer, where friends and family would join them to celebrate Taylor's return. Everyone had been stressed when they learned about the details of the threat in Vienna, and this mini-vacation was meant to bring some much needed relief.
As Taylor stepped off the plane and descended the stairs, her eyes locked onto Travis standing beside the SUV, his broad shoulders framed against the fading evening light, his arms stretched wide, ready to pull her close. A slow smile spread across her face, her heart pounding in anticipation. She quickened her pace, her footsteps light and eager, before breaking into a sprint, her body practically vibrating with excitement.
When she reached him, she leapt into his arms, and he caught her effortlessly, lifting her off the ground. The moment their lips met, the world around them seemed to blur. Their kiss was intense, electric, charged with all the heat they had been holding back during the weeks apart. Her fingers threaded through his hair, pulling him closer, while his hands roamed possessively along her back, drawing her tight against his chest.
She could feel his breath quicken against her lips as he deepened the kiss, his tongue teasing hers, tasting, exploring, both of them lost in the need to close the distance that had been between them for far too long. Travis's hands tightened around her waist, and she let out a soft moan, pressing herself closer against him, feeling the solid warmth of his body against hers.
"Baby girl, I missed you so fucking much," he whispered against her lips, his voice husky, filled with desire.
"I missed you too, babe" she breathed, barely breaking away, her lips still brushing his as if she couldn't get enough.
