Travis adjusted his mic, fingers drumming lightly against the desk as he let out a slow breath. This wasn't just any episode, it was the episode. The kind that would break the internet, flood timelines with clips, and dominate headlines before they even signed off. A mix of nerves and determination settled heavy in his chest. Today, he was finally addressing what had been hanging over him for months. Jason, on the other hand, was in full big brother mode. He leaned forward, his elbows braced on the desk, and shot Travis a knowing look. "Alright! Welcome back to New Heights" he said, wasting no time. "Let's just cut right to it. We've got a lot to cover, and we've got a special guest joining us later. Easily the most requested guest in New Heights history."
Travis smirks, shaking his head. "Yeah, man... It's been a week."
Jason chuckles back. "Try months, bro. The people have been talking. They've been speculating, and I think we owe it to everyone to set the record straight."
Travis took a breath, running a hand over his beard. "Look, I've always tried to keep my personal life... personal," he admitted, his voice steady but carrying a weight beneath it. "But that's kinda tough when you're married to someone the entire world adores, for very good reason."
Jason nodded. "Yeah, no argument there. But it crosses a line when it involves kids."
Travis's expression hardened, his jaw tightening slightly. "Exactly. We're stepping into a new chapter of our lives, and all of our kids, yours, mine, deserve respect. They didn't choose this. They didn't ask to be part of the NFL world or the Taylor Swift world."
Jason leaned back in his chair, his brows knitting together. "It's been getting harder to balance. We want to invite people into our lives, but there's this... heightened level of wanting more. Like, the access people feel entitled to has gotten insane. It used to just be about football, right? Like, 'Oh, what's going on with the Eagles?' or 'How's the Chiefs' offense looking this year?' But now? It's our entire lives, our kids, our wives, our families. It's not just sports media anymore. It's everywhere."
Travis sighed, nodding. "Dude, trust me. I know. I thought I was used to it, you know? I mean, I've been in the league for over a decade, and yeah, I had my fair share of media attention, but the last three years? Different level."
Jason smirked. "Yeah, can't imagine why."
Travis rolled his eyes but grinned. "Oh, we know why. And don't get me wrong, I get it. I really do. I have a beautiful life and married someone who's not just famous, but Taylor Swift levels of famous. And I don't take that lightly. She's incredible. And when we got together, I knew it was going to be a thing."
Jason chuckled. "A thing? National news stations were analyzing how you hold hands, bro."
Travis groaned, rubbing his face with his hands. "Oh my God. I'll never forget that. I woke up one morning, and there's this whole-ass news segment. I'm talking primetime national television, breaking down how I 'never let go of her hand' when we are seen out. Like, there was a body language expert explaining my hand placement and what it supposedly means for our relationship."
Jason laughed so hard he almost tipped back in his chair. "Yeah, they had diagrams and shit! Like, 'Here's how Travis Kelce holds Taylor Swift's hand, and here's what that tells us about their dynamic.'"
Travis shook his head, smirking. "Bro, I just have big hands!"
Jason wheezed. "It's like you are catching a pass!"
Travis leaned into his mic pulling his cap down for a second over his eyes. "But that's what I mean. That's the level of scrutiny now. And for the most part? I roll with it. But when it comes to my kid? That's where I draw the line," he paused.
