3| Lucky me

The next week, Yewon got an e-mail from Weverse.

When she checked it, she fell to the floor, stood up, and jumped while shouting and moving her arms up in the air.

You may ask...Why?

She's the lucky fan that will participate in the show with the singer.

So... yes. She will meet her favourite singer and not just that, she'll also appear on TV.

She'll would have to ask her mother's permission for the latter, but she didn't care. SHE WILL MEET HER FAVOURITE SINGER!

Yewon's pov:

– Mom~ – . I call her, running downstairs.

I found her in the garden, watering some plants.

– MOM!!–. I call her again.
She stops watering the plants and turns back to look at me –. What? Why are you excited?
– I got chosen! I'm the lucky fan! –. I happily say, jumping. Upon seeing the confused look in her face, I add –. The new show that Myung Jaehyun will appear with a fan. That fan, it's me!

Mom took some minutes to understand what I said.

She blinks and says, still shocked –. What? You... you got chosen? To be on TV?

I nod, and she approaches me with her arms open. She then hugs me.

I smile.

– Oh my... my only daughter will appear on TV! –. She says.
– Yes... but.
– But... –. She turns serious and looks at me.
– I need your permission to be on TV.
– Why? You're eighteen... ah~ true. You're still a minor. – She says.
– Will you let me appear? –. I ask.
– of course I will! –. She smiles, happy –. Not everyday is my daughter chosen to be on TV with a famous! What do I have to do?
– Just click the accepting button of my e-mail –. I say.
– But... can't you do that yourself?
I shake my head –. No. You have to do it as there are some weird questions that you have to answer.

She makes an " O" face and lets me go.
She puts the vase with water on the grass and enters the house.

– Hey! Wait for me! –. I shout, rushing inside.

Time skip: Before sleeping.

It's 22:00 p.m, and I'm ready to go to bed.

As I'm still excited about the news and I can't stop imagining myself with Jaehyun, I decided to read a book.

Some minutes later, mom knocks in my door.

– Come in! –. I say.

The door opens, and mom enters with a glass of milk.

– Are you reading? –. She asks.

I hum, flicking the page.

– I have brought you a glass of milk because I guessed that you wouldn't be able to sleep tonight –. She says, leaving the glass on my night table.
– You know me so well~ –. I look at her mischievously.
She rolls her eyes –. Ye-won a~, of course I do. I'm your mother, I know everything about you.
– yeah. Yeah.
– I have already given my permission. –. She starts –. Now. Tell me where and when you will start recording.
I sigh –. The recording starts next Monday at 9:00. But i have to go to KOZ' building to meet Jaehyun and get friendly, i guess, this Friday at 17:00.
–Ok...And what is the show about?
– I'm not sure yet. I think it's about missions to get something as almost all this kind of shows –. I say.

She hums and wishes me goodnight.

– Goodnight –. I say.

She smiles and leaves my room, closing the door.

I closed the book and left it in its place.

– I won't sleep again, right? –. I mumbled to myself.

I sigh and drink the glass of milk.
I'm not a fan of milk, but mom always makes me drink it.

I leave the glass on the night table again, and I take my phone, entering my e-mail for the tenth time.

I see that I have a new e-mail and I open it.

☆Weverse:

Hi, this is WEVERSE.

We wanted to inform you that we have received your mother's permission, and we also want to ask you two questions.

These are the questions:

1. Have you met your soulmate?

2. When is your birthday?

Please reply as soon as you see this.

Also, the show will be a mix of Monopoly and Mafia.

You'll have to go through missions with our artist, Jaehyun.

You'll basically play as Monopoly but in pairs.

There will be a mafia that will be able to steal your money, makes you go to jail, etc.

And, of course, you'll have missions.
Some missions will be hard, and some will be easy.
However, you'll have to pass them to avoid the punishment.

Please remember this Friday's meeting in KOZ at 17:00.

I think I'll enjoy the show so much, and not just because I'll be with Jaehyun, but because the game seems funny.

My eyelids felt heavier, and I slowly fell asleep.
