6| Finding my soulmate

Jaehyun's pov:

– What do you mean, son? –. Dad asks me.
– I... i don't know... it just... it just appeared silver. It's silver! –. I say, shocked.

I can't believe it.

I wanted to have a unique colour, but i thought it was impossible.

But look at me now.

I've got silver.

This colour must have a reason.
Though i don't know if Naver will have a solution for this.

– Son... your string will be visible for us when you bond with your soulmate –. Mom says.

I yawned and nodded.

– Well... congratulations for getting your string. Go to sleep now, it's late –. Mom says.

I nodded, and they left my room.

I laid down on my bed and looked at my string.

It's colour is beautiful.

It's silver, but it shines. I mean, it also has some glitter.

I sighed and turned the light off.

My string shines even in the dark.

Amazing.

The string is around my little finger, and the other part of it is stretched towards somewhere outside my window.

How am i going to find my soulmate?

Do i have to follow the string?

I sighed.

I want to meet my soulmate soon.

I promise to keep her safe and feel both loved and cared.

I soon drifted to sleep.

No one's pov:

Jaehyun has been looking for his soulmate since the day after his birthday.

He told his friends his string's colour and they didn't believe him.

Of course. How would they?

There's only four colours, but he has one which is supposed to " not exist."

He suddenly felt suffocated and overwhelmed.

Having a different colour suddenly made him feel as if he didn't fit anywhere.

Everyone who hears him says that he has a silver string would laugh at him.

His parents didn't believe him as well, but they acted as if they did. Always supporting him.

He was tired and exhausted.

He had spent a full week searching for his other half.
But, he didn't find her.
And he suddenly thought that maybe his soulmate was in another country, as Riwoo's.

Flashback: Monday

Yewon's pov:

Today was the first day of recording, and i'm in a bad mood.

I have met Felix, my partner, and he's so kind and funny.
But i didn't want to be his partner.

We didn't do much today. We just decided our roles.

The roles are these: 1 mafia, 1 cupid, 1 enemy of cupid, 2 doctors [ pair] and citizens.

I am Cupid, and Felix is a citizen.

Can you believe that i'd have to participate in the monopoly thing, but i just have to help the pairs in their missions and make new pairs for the ones that don't work?
