31| Bulling the Bullies

Two weeks later, Jaehyun noticed that Yewon was more tired than usually, and she was covering her arms and legs even though the weather had started to feel warmer.

On Tuesday, he saw her new bruises when she stretched her left arm to take something on a shelf. He got mad at himself as she was still suffering even though he promised her that her bullies would stop. And, after seeing her new bruises and mood, he decided that it was time to show Kina a lesson.

So today, Friday, he wrote a small letter in Science class and threw it to Kina - who was in front of him. - When she read it, she flipped her hair and turned to look at him with a flirty smile.

He wanted to throw up, but he had to make her believe that he was interested in her so that she'd agree. And she did.

At lunchtime, Jaehyun went to the janitor closet again and waited for Kina. When he heard her fake laughs, he quickly opened the door and pulled the girl inside, making her gasp.

Jaehyun's pov:

She glares at me, but when she realizes who I am, she changes her expression.

– Oh... Jaehyunnie –. She says, clinging on me.
– Don't shout –. I say.
She pouts but smiles at me –. What did you want to tell me? Are you perhaps... going to confess?

I wanted to scoff. Who does this girl think she is?

– No –. I say, yanking my arm out of her grip –. I want to warn you.
She furrows her eyebrows, and her " happy" smile drops – About what?
– Stop messing with Yewon –. I say.
She scoffs –. So this is all because of her, uh? I thought I had shown her a lesson, but i guess I didn't.
– She has nothing to do with this –. I say.
– What do you want to tell me?
– I have just told you. Leave her alone –. I harshly say –. You think you love me, but you don't. In fact, you have never done it. You're just jealous that Yewon is with me because I'm popular.
– And what if I don't?
I smiled sweetly, and with an innocent voice, I say –. That's why I wanted to meet you in private.

She is confused. I can see it in her expression.

– Uh? Wha...what are you going to do to me?
I keep smiling sweetly –. Oh, sweetie, the same you have done to my dear soulmate.

I scoff and push her to the floor.

Her expression is funny. She tried to stand up, but I pushed her down again.

– Wha...what are you doing?–. She asks, in pain.
I smirk –. The same you do. Boys! –. I shouted to the door, and it burst open. Two of my friends enter.

Kina looks at them scared and tries to stand up again, but I push her.

– Don't you dare –. I threaten.

And then, I start to bully her along my friends.

While Jaehyun was bulling – or doing the same as Kina with Yewon, – the girl was looking around, trying to see him.

Some minutes later, as Yewon couldn't see him, she decided to sit on a table and eat with A-young.

" Maybe he's busy." She thought.

The time passed, and Yewon felt more anxious with each minute without him.

Was it the bond? It's impossible as it hadn't started yet. Their string? Probably.

Half an hour later, the bell rang, announcing the end of lunchtime.

Yewon was worried and anxious. She had been waiting for him and looking around to try to see him. She even texted him, but she didn't get a reply. So she had a lot of worried thoughts, some more negative than others.

A-young noticed the anxious state her friend was in, so she didn't say anything. She just stared at the girl worried. A-young knew what was happening to her as she felt the same with her soulmate.

Yes, you read right, A-young has a soulmate and has bonded with him. Who? You may wonder, well, Ian, a member of the school's basketball team, and the same boy that Yewon catched her with when she called her.

She had a crush on him for a long time but one day, the boy suddenly gifted her a rose and the next day another. His gifts continued until three months ago, when he confessed to her, and somehow, she got her string – weird as it only appears on your birthday, – and realized that he was her soulmate.

The same goes for him. He already had his string, and when he realized that it was connected to her, he started to gift her things until he confessed.

And they started to date in secret. that they started to date, finally, last month they bonded.

A-young hasn't told this to neither Yewon nor the other girls, and she was sure that her best friend was going to get mad at her. However, it wasn't the right time to tell her.

Because she wanted to let her realize her feelings and bond with her soulmate before telling her.

Today was my first day of class. Please save me. This curse is the most difficult, and I have a lot of science together.
