How can it be that my memories are more alive than I am?

Zayn was sitting in his usual spot- near the balcony railing and staring at the abyss below deep in some thought. When Alex noticed this, he simply smiled and went towards Zayn to greet him but stopped in his tracks when he saw Zayn's eyes.

They were growing bright blue.

Alex looked at Zayn for a while then silently flew out of the place. Before he knew, Zayn fell asleep again.

Alex put a sleeping spell on him. Now there was no way he could escape the nightmares that tormented his soul.

"Ah Taylor, hello there." Lucifer smirked.

"You- what are you doing here?" Taylor stammered out of fear on seeing the demon king.

Years ago in the war of the seven kingdoms, Taylor received a scar on his eyes. A scar that refused to heal inspite of the rejuvenating skill the angels had. A 12 year old had given him that. That twelve year old was none other than Lucifer. Since then Taylor has always been afraid of Lucifer.

"Just strolling you know? Nothing special!" Lucifer shrugged.

"Why would you take a stroll in our realm though?!" Taylor said raising his voice suddenly.

"You got a problem with that?" Lucifer asked raising his eyebrow.

"No, I just mean you hate us so why would you-" Taylor softened his voice and tried explaining himself but Michael cut him off.

"That is enough, Taylor! Lucifer is here to join us in our plan. So explain everything to him from the beginning." The Angel King said.

Taylor looked taken a back by the information but did what his King ordered him to do.

"A million years ago, destiny was written. There were two books made. Initially three but the the third one has been destroyed. One laid in the Flower Kingdom, one in the Underworld and one here. Those books contain instructions written by our creators that we have to follow when it is time for destiny to come true. Wh-" Taylor started explaining but got cut off in the middle as someone stormed into the throne room. Everyone turned their eyes to the door to see Alex walking in.

"Your Majesty I saw Zayn!" Alex said urgently.

Lucifer silently arched an eye brow at Alex's confession.

"He has escaped to the human world! We must catch him at once and put an end to this!" Alex continued.

"Let us go at once then! Taylor will explain you the details later. Would you like to accompany us, dear young ruler?" The angel king asked.

"No thankyou" Lucifer said standing up "You guys can continue, I will come by another day." Lucifer said before flying back to hell.

Alex, Taylor and a few soldiers along with the Angel King himself flew down to earth to capture Zayn.

"What's the condition?" Lucifer asked looking at Zayn's sleeping state.

"He seems to be under a sleeping spell." The doctor said examining Zayn's pulses.

"Okay, thankyou." Lucifer said. The doctor bowed down and left.

"Why do you think Alex lied?" Damon asked looking at Zayn sadly.

"To divert them away from Zayn's hiding place?" Chaos said.

"But then why cast a sleeping spell on him?" Damon asked turning to Chaos making Chaos get lost in thoughts. They ended up shrugging.

On seeing Chaos shrug, Damon turned to Lucifer for answers but Lucifer seemed to be lost in some deep thoughts and paying no attention to their conversation. Damon sighed and looked back at Zayn sadly.

"I hope we can find a cure for this.." Damon whispered to himself.
