Sometime in the past~

6 years ago when Zayn woke up to the bloody massacre in his house he was scared. When he saw his mother's body lay limp in a pool of blood in one of the main Hall's of the castle, he was even more horrified. The little boy hugged his mother's body and cried. He cried and cried, asking for his mother to wake up. The boy's cries were heard all around the castle but most of them were either dead or didn't know how to help the 10 year old. As evening fell someone entered the castle. It was Evigheden.

Zayn ran up to his father and hugged him before he started crying as he pointed to his mother's body "She isn't waking up! Please wake her up, please!"

Evigheden looked at his beloved's dead body, tears welling up his eyes as he looked back at his son whose eyes were swollen due to crying for too long.

"Go sleep, my child. She shall wake up when you wake up in the morning tomorrow, alright?" The King said with a small smile.

"Really?" Zayn asked looking at his father with hopeful eyes.

"Yes my dear, now go sleep. Your mother wouldn't like to see you with such swollen red eyes, would she?" Evigheden asked and shook his head.

"Goodnight, father." Zayn said and took one last glance at his mother before going back to his room and falling asleep with hopes and dreams of hearing his mother's voice again when he'd wake up.

Evigheden sighed. He went and knelt down beside Rose's body and held her hand in his. Soon he took her hand placed it on his heart and started whispering a spell. After a ritual of five long hours, Rose finally woke up. Her wounds healed and she looked at her husband's face in confusion.

"You're awake!" Evigheden said delighted as he let out a tired sigh.

Rose took a few moments to remember what a happened and looked at her husband with astonishment.

"How?!" She asked looking at herself and around her.

"I shared my life with you." Evigheden explained.

"How does that work?" Rose asked confused.

"I'm an immortal, hence I cannot die. There is a forbidden spell where we can share our lives with another person. If we do so, when the person we revived dies again, we lose ours too and our soul gets trapped in that place for eternity. Hence why it's forbidden. But I couldn't let you die my love. I need you. Our son needs you." The king said explaining as his eyes welled up with tears once again. "Please keep this information to yourself or it may end badly for us." He added caressing his wife's cheek sadly.

Zayn woke up in the next morning and went down stairs, his heart racing due to anxiety. He silently looked around his house to find his mother sitting in the garden reading a book.

"Maa!" Zayn said as he ran up to his mother with tears in his eyes. "You woke up!" He said joyfully as he hugged his mother.

"How could I not wake up when there's someone as precious as you waiting for me to wake up?" Rose said and kissed her son's head making him smile happily. His mother was awake again! He couldn't be happier!

Years passed and Zayn trained everyday now with more rigour as he refused to let fate repeat itself. He soon went to Noxus, the Institute his father built. Zayn took advanced classes in every single subject to exist. He didn't have any problem with it as he was a rather bright student.

"You're smarter than anyone I've ever known and that includes myself!" Evigheden would say as he praised Zayn making him grin.

Two years later, Zayn met a human. The moment the human entered he somehow found himself in trouble with the most obnoxious Angel in the campus. Zayn had to save him so he wouldn't get kicked out on his first day. That would be sad.

Zayn could easily read energies and this human was roaming around with an anxious energy - an easy target for anyone in the campus. Zayn wasn't about to let that happen so he followed the human.

"I'm Liam." The human said with a smile even though Zayn was nothing but rude to him for the past fifteen minutes. That was enough to make Zayn intrigued.

The next time Zayn met Liam the human was two months after their initial meeting. This time once again, the human had found himself in yet another trouble and that too with none other than the ruler of hell, Lucifer.

"Luci, let him go. He means no harm." Zayn said walking upto his best friend.

"Are you sure?" Lucifer asked looking at Zayn.

"Mhm" Zayn said turning to look at Liam.

"Leeyum." Zayn said as he sighed. "How do you keep getting into troubles, dear?" Zayn said raising an eye brow at the human who was now looking at his feet in embarrassment.

"Why am I always getting saved by this golden winged creature?!" Liam thought to himself.

"I don't need saving!" Liam yelled at Zayn with a glare but Zayn just chuckled.

"How cute." Zayn said with a smirk making Liam's face flushed.

"What even happened here?" Zayn asked tilting his head to the side.

"He started arguing with me saying that I shouldn't insult that guy like that." Lucifer said pointing at Damon.

"And you didn't say anything?" Zayn said turning to Damon.

"Well it's always interesting to watch Luci lose his cool" The blue eyed demon said with a toothy grin.

"Wait you know each other?" Liam asked confused.

"We're friends." Damon said to Liam with a guilty smile. "Thanks for defending me anyways, mortal!"

"Ugh I can't believe this!" Liam said storming off from there.

"What an interesting specimen." Lucifer said looking at Liam with amusement.

Zayn ignored them and followed Liam.
