"I'm so freaking stupid!!" Liam thought as he angrily marched in no absolute direction. Suddenly he felt himself be lifted off the ground into air making him scream.

"Stop screaming!" Zayn said clasping Liam's mouth shut with one hand while the other was wrapped around Liam's waist.

"Mphmh??" Liam asked making Zayn remove his hand off Liam's mouth.

"What?" Zayn asked confused.

"Why is your hand around my waist?" Liam asked frowning.

Zayn raised an eyebrow at Liam and removed his hand making Liam freefall towards the ground rapidly.

"WHY DID I HAVE TO ASK THAT IN THE AIR?!" Liam yelled at himself

Liam screamed flailing his arms trying to save himself before finally closing his eyes, accepting his death. Just when Liam thought he was gonna hit the ground, he felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around his waist and be lifted back into the air again. Liam opened his eyes to see Zayn looking at him rather amused.

"So, you were saying?" Zayn asked.

"I'm sorry." Liam mumbled.

"Hmm???"

"I'M SORRY!"

Zayn grinned making Liam look away with a blush. Zayn was very pretty and right now his pretty face was way too close for Liam's liking. Zayn silently smirked on feeling Liam's nervous energy.

After flying in silence for a few minutes, Zayn landed by a waterfall. Liam looked around in awe.

"What is this place?" Liam said walking upto the stream.

"My favorite place. Energies cannot be read here as I've casted a spell that'll veil this place. So in case you find yourself in trouble once again, just run here." Zayn replied making Liam look at him surprised.

"What?" Zayn asked confused.

"You trust me so much you brought me to your secret hideout?!" Liam asked in disbelief.

Trust was a big word but sensing how excited Liam was getting Zayn simply nodded. What could a mortal even do to him anyways?

Liam grinned on seeing Zayn nod. He was so happy to have gotten trusted such a big responsibility he decided he wouldn't let Zayn down, ever. Zayn simply smiled back.

"Be careful when fighting monsters not to become one." Rose said looking at her 16 year old son who was silently flipping through his book.

"What?" Zayn asked frowning in confusion.

"Remember my words." Rose said ruffling Zayn's hair before walking out leaving Zayn confused.

Remember...remember....remember.....

Current time~

Zayn suddenly woke up from his sleep and sat straight, staring into the dark.

He now remembered how he first met Liam. That was a start. Zayn got down his bed and got dressed into a black sweatshirt and pants before he flew to the waterfall. Liam was laying asleep by the streams, his hand tightly wrapped around the book. Zayn sat beside Liam and looked at him wondering why Liam was here?

"Did you come here for me?" Zayn whispered in disbelief.

Zayn watched Liam's sleeping face for a while before he lifted Liam into his arms and flew back to Lucifer's castle. He made Liam sleep on his bed before covering him with a blanket. Just when he was about to leave he felt Liam grab his wrist. Zayn looked at Liam surprised and found him still sleeping.

"Don't.." Liam mumbled in his sleep making Zayn worried.

"Don't what?" Zayn asked moving closer.

"Don't leave...stay." Liam mumbled.

"But I'm not lea-"

"Please."

Zayn looked at Liam his vision blurring before he quickly blinked them away and nodded even though Liam wasn't able to see it.

Zayn went and slept next to Liam, wondering if he should wrap him arms around him? Liam made the decision for him as he immediately snuggled to Zayn, a small smile appearing on his lips. Zayn immediately wrapped his arms around Liam and held him close, afraid that any moment Liam was going to disappear all over again. He was scared, so scared that he was going to lose Liam once again and this time he will not return. Zayn couldn't let that happen. He couldn't let that happen at any cost!
