"Omg, can we fly?!" Liam asked excited.
"Of course, Jaan. Anything for you." Zayn smiled making Liam grin.
Liam wrapped his arms around Zayn's neck while Zayn wrapped his around Liam's waist.
"Ready?" Zayn asked.
"Yes!" Liam said nodding excitedly.
"You're so cute." Zayn said kissing softly on the tip of Liam's nose before flying up in the air.
"A WHOLE NEW WORLDDDDDD"
"Too bad we don't have carpet right now"
"True but that's okay. I got a very Aladdin looking immortal with his own pair of wings. Much prettier than Aladdin and much cooler than his flying carpet."
Zayn just chuckled. They flew around for hours in the starry sky while Liam kept singing. Few hours later Zayn landed back near the tree.
"You make me so happy! I can't wait to get married to you!" Liam said gleefully.
"We'll get married as soon as you graduate" Zayn said and kissed Liam's forehead.
"Can't wait!" Liam said resting his forehead against Zayn's.
Suddenly a pair of hands pulled them apart.
"Let go! Let go!" Liam started yelling trying to get out of the intruder's grasp.
"Let HIM GO!" Zayn yelled as he tried to go to Liam but couldn't. Zayn tried to open his wings but suddenly felt something cold hit his head. The last thing he saw was Liam crying before everything went black.
"Zayn! ZAYN!! NO!! LET GO!!!" Liam yelled tears streaming down his face.
Current time~
Zayn woke up to find himself cocooned in Liam's warm embrace and let out a sigh of relief. He slowly pulled down Liam's collar to find the chain still around Liam's neck. Slowly getting up, Zayn pulled the sheets over Liam and kissed on the forehead before walking out of the room. He went to where his mother was and kneeled down her before taking her body in his arms and resting her head on his lap.
"It hurt a lot when you first died. When father brought you back to life, I was the happiest ever. Now I know he cannot bring you back to life again because this time, he too is dead. It's killing me, Maa. It really is. I do not understand how did this happen? How could they succeed? This was supposed to be the safest place. Then how?? It hurts even more because if I was here, maybe I could've saved you. Li and I were supposed to come visit you that night but they took us captive. I tried, I tried my best but I failed. I failed to protect you. I was supposed to be a legend, a saviour but I'm just a mess." Zayn said tears streaming down his face.
"It's been seven years since I last saw you, it hurts. These past two years were the most painful ones ever. I know I can't beg you to come back, don't worry I'll give you a proper funeral. You've suffered enough." Zayn said sniffling.
"They say you die twice. Once when you stop breathing and one, a little later, when someone says your name for the last time. Good thing I'm an immortal, I'll remember you every single day, you shall remain immortal forever. I couldn't stop you from dying physically but I can definitely do this!" Zayn said wiping his tears before kissing his mother's forehead and slowly laying her back down again.
Zayn went out of the castle, into the forest to clear his head. Someone jumped inside through the window, waking Liam up.
"Hello" the intruder grinned.
"Lucifer? What are you doing here?!" Liam asked getting down the bed.
"Came here to hand you this!" Lucifer said throwing something wrapped in red cloth to Liam who caught it mid air.
Unfolding the cloth, Liam gasped "A GUN?!"
"Mhm" Lucifer said walking back to the window he jumped in through.
"Wait! Why? Actually forget that. How and where tf did you get this from?! You're a demon!" Liam asked confused.
"Got it from a human. You're a human, it's a human weapon so clearly its for you. Never hurts to have a weapon by your side, if not for offense then at least for defence no?" Lucifer grinned before flying away leaving Liam dumbfounded.

"Zayn" a familiar voice called out.
"Alexander." Zayn said looking at the blue eyed angel.
"No need to get your guards all up, it's just me Alex after all." Alex grinned.
Zayn hummed and looked back down from the bridge.
"So Liam. What do you think about Liam now?" Alex asked curiously.
"He's just a beautiful boy, with a beautiful soul, with a smile that can light up the entire world and I love him." Zayn said sighing dreamily as he thought of his boy.
Alex looked at Zayn in amazement as he had never once in his life thought he'd see THE Zayn Malik sighing dreamily about literally anyone let alone a human. "You are in love. What does love look like? What does love feel like" he asked.
"Love looks like a pair of puppy brown eyes looking at me in the morning while poking my cheek to wake me up and breaking into a smile so wide that the eyes crinkle when I do. Such a cute sight, never fails to melt my heart. Love feels like everything I've ever lost come back to me and honestly I can't thank the universe for returning my Leeyum back to me." Zayn said smiling happily.
"You remember!" Alex gasped.
"I do." Zayn answered.
"ZEE!" Liam yelled out looking for Zayn and ran up to him on finding him.
"Jaan, I remember! I remember everything!" Zayn said hugging Liam tightly.
"Really?!" Liam asked excited.
"Yes my dear fiance, I remember everything!" Zayn answered pulling back a little so he could look at Liam. On hearing the word fiance Liam began tearing up.
"Let's get married already. I graduated a year ago, we can get married and be together forever now, no?" Liam asked and Zayn nodded.
"Yes, let's get married poste haste!" Zayn said making Liam grin.
Alex silently watched them with a smile.
"Not so soon!" Raphael said walking to them.
"Not AGAIN!" Liam said furiously.
"This is not condoned behaviour." Raphael said angrily.
"Shut up! It's not our fault you couldn't fall in love or get someone to love your ugly ass!" Liam huffed.
"You're together just because you like each other's pretty faces" Raphael said rolling his eyes.
"I fall in love with souls, not faces!" Zayn said glaring at the angel.
"I fell in love with his soul before I could even touch his skin!" Liam said tears welling up in his eyes.
"We're soulmates and soulmates aren't just lovers!" Zayn said intertwining his fingers with Liam's.
"We are a part of each other, we COMPLETE each other." Liam said holding onto Zayn's hand tighter so they can't pull him away again.
"What if we take away your souls then will you still love each other?" Raphael asked.
"You don't have a soul. You ARE a soul. You have a body. Damn, you're an archangel and don't know the basics?" Zayn said disgusted.
Before Raphael could say something, Alex spoke up as he came and stood in front of Zayn and Liam "If two people cannot stay away from each other, maybe they weren't meant to be apart. So STOP trying to separate them. Surely an angel who's older than at least a 100 years has more important things to do in his life than separate two lovers who have nothing to do with you no? Unless your love life is so dry that you gotta keep snatching them away from each other?"
"GO AWAY YOU PEST!" Raphael yelled shoving Alex down the bridge. When he lifted his hands to attack Zayn and Liam he suddenly fell to the ground as blood rapidly oozed from the slit on his neck.
"Lucifer!"
"Luci!"
"Let's get you both married shall we?"
