Narrator:
An infinite void stretched before them, a white canvas without a single stain. The wind, if you could call it that in that atmosphereless place, whipped Killer's bones, making him shiver. Beside him, Crescent was jumping from joy, his pupils shining with excitement.
They were in an alternate universe for breakfast. Killer could only look around confused, the place seemed completely empty. They walked for a long time, but the killer still didn't see anything that looked like a place to eat. Suddenly, a building was seen from the horizon, an anomaly in that desolate landscape. A pastel-colored sign, with elegant cursive letters, announced: Ccino Cafeteria.
Killer frowned, trying to remember if he had ever heard that name. There was nothing familiar about that place, but Crescent, without waiting for a response, lunged forward, pulling Killer's hand.
"Mom, mom! Look! We're here, you're going to love the place!" The little skeleton screamed in excitement, his words echoing in the void. Nightmare smiled, amused by his son's enthusiasm, with his imposing bearing and serious expression, he followed closely.
There was a sign on the door that said Closed but Crescent pushed the glass and walked through as if it were nothing. Upon entering, Killer found himself immersed in a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sugar mixed with the soft sound of classical music emanating from an old gramophone. White marble tables and pastel brown velvet chairs adorned the premises, creating an elegant and slightly childish atmosphere at the same time.
Crescent ran to one of the tables near the window, choosing the best place to enjoy the view with his mother. Nightmare followed them, settling on the other side. While they waited for the person in charge of the place.
The cafeteria, despite its cozy appearance, radiated a strange emptiness. The tables, covered with checkered tablecloths, looked immaculate, as if they had not been touched in days. Killer frowned, puzzled. He had seen the Closed sign upon entering, but both Nightmare and Crescent seemed to have completely forgotten about it. Before he could ask anything, a door at the back of the cafeteria opened, revealing a peculiar figure.
He was a tall, thin skeleton, with a style that bordered on the extravagant. He was wearing a beige high-necked sweatshirt, combined with shorts that were strangely reminiscent of Sans's. Over the waist, a brown kitchen robe, with the embroidered silhouette of a cat's paw in the lower left corner, gave it an even more peculiar touch. He completed his outfit with soft lilac rabbit slippers, black gloves that looked more for a magician than a waiter, and a badge with the word Ccino printed in cursive.
The skeleton stopped at the counter, observing the three visitors with an expression of surprise mixed with curiosity. His empty and dark gaze seemed to penetrate their souls.
"Well, well, well" he murmured, his voice husky and melodious at the same time. "What wind brings you here? The cafeteria is closed, you know?" He snapped as he headed towards them.
Nightmare crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow.
''Since when do we need permission to enter when the cafeteria is closed, Ccino?'' His voice, deep and resonant, filled the space.
Ccino laughed, his bones vibrating slightly. "Just kidding, Nightmare. The usual?" Nightmare and Crescent nodded in unison.
'A black coffee without sugar for Nightmare, a chocolate milkshake with some waffles covered in raspberries, blueberries and chocolate syrup for Crescent and....' Ccino made a mental note "And for you, what would you like?" he asked, directing his gaze to the quieter skeleton.
