Narrator:

The air in the room had calmed, the tension that moments before had flooded every corner dissipated with the affectionate exchange between the three felines. The skeletons watched the scene with a mixture of surprise and relief, but before any of them could comment, a door opened with a soft creak. The figure of Ccino appeared through it, carrying some balls of yarn that floated around him, moving gently thanks to his magic.

The skeleton entered with his trademark calm smile, his gaze scanning the room casually at first, until his pupils landed on the new feline. Ccino stopped dead, his sockets widening slightly, and the balls of yarn floating next to him wavered in the air before slowly descending to the nearest armchair.

''And this...? '' he asked, more to himself than anyone else, as he approached the group of cats that were now huddled together in the center of the room.

Nightmare, who had been observing the interaction between the felines, diverted his attention to Ccino, raising an eyebrow.

''A new Fluffy, it seems'' he responded in his usual tone, apparently relaxed, although his pupils continued to monitor the scene with some jealousy.

Ccino nodded slowly, still amazed by the new visitor. He crouched down slowly, placing a hand at the base of his jaw as he carefully studied the newly arrived cat.

The white and gray furred cat, who until then seemed oblivious to the attention of the skeletons, now looked at Ccino with attentive, almost defiant eyes. The dark cat, Fluffy Grumpy, stood close, his tail tangled with the new feline's, a gesture that seemed natural and intimate at the same time.

''It's funny how the Fluffies behave'' Ccino commented, with a softer tone of voice.

''What do you mean, Ccino?'' Killer, who until then had been watching curiously from a distance, frowned and asked.

Ccino straightened and looked at the three felines, his pupils shining with a mixture of understanding and tenderness.

''The Fluffies are connected to us, their original versions'' he explained, slowly walking around the cats as he spoke ''They are not simply cats with our appearances, of course, although they seem that way'' he continued with a smile ''Their essence is directly linked to ours. Every thought, every feeling we have, they reflects them in some way. They can feel what we feel, even the connections we share with others.'' He stopped and pointed at Fluffy Grumpy and the new white cat.

''Therefore, the relationship between these three is not so different from the one your original versions have. What they feel between them is deeply linked to that connection. It's as if they have absorbed all the memories and emotions that their original selves have experienced together. But...'' he paused and smiled, almost amused, ''the only thing that changes is that, like animals, they are guided much more by their instincts. And because of that, they can develop those relationships much faster and more directly'' he said.

The skeletons in the room were silent for a moment, absorbing the explanation. Curious, Crescent tilted his head as he gently stroked the head of his feline version, who was now calmly rubbing against his leg.

''So... what we're seeing now is some kind of reflection of our relationship?'' Crescent asked, his pupils full of curiosity.

Ccino nodded.

''Exactly'' Ccino nodded ''But it's not just a reflection. It's almost as if these felines... amplify that connection. Being purer, more instinctive animals, they are not complicated by thoughts or doubts like us. They simply feel. And what they feel they express immediately''

The skeletons nodded slowly. Crescent looked at his little gray cat, who had now curled up next to the white cat, purring softly. It was fascinating how, in a matter of minutes, the three felines had established such a deep and natural bond.

''So... does this mean that my Fluffy version... shares a bond with the boss?'' Killer asked, pointing at the white-furred cat with a doubtful tone of voice.

''I'm sure. These kinds of things aren't usually coincidences'' Ccino responded, shrugging his shoulders. ''I didn't know that you and Nightmare... had that kind of relationship'' he expressed with a mischievous smile.

Killer looked at him confused, not understanding what he meant. 'That kind of relationship? Don't cats usually show recognition and respect like that?' he wondered.

Nightmare, who had remained silent most of the time, decided to intervene.

''So basically, we're watching the Fluffies form relationships in real time, but much faster than we do'' he concluded.

''Exactly!'' Ccino confirmed, crossing his arms ''While we sometimes need time to analyze our emotions, think about what we feel and how to act, they just... do it'' he explained, tilting his head thoughtfully ''And that's why, although cats may seem simpler, there is actually great depth to their behavior. Everything is connected to who we are and what we feel'' he said simply.

At that moment, the new white feline raised its head, observing Ccino with an intense gaze. Ccino smiled and leaned toward the cat, reaching out a hand. The feline, after a few seconds of evaluation, rubbed lightly against Ccino's fingers, accepting the contact without much emotion.

''It seems like you still don't fully trust me'' Ccino murmured, gently stroking the cat's chin.

And so, what had started as a possible confrontation between the two cats, now felt like a family reunion. The connection between the Fluffies and their original versions had become evident, and although Ccino had provided some answers, the appearance of the new feline brought with it more questions.

Nightmare, however, didn't seem worried. If he had learned anything in all his years, it was that the time to tell or find the truth would come, sooner or later.

The felines, now calm, continued to huddle in the center of the room, enjoying each other's company while the skeletons watched, in a rare and peaceful harmony.

After finishing breakfast and them having their doses of tenderness. Nightmare, Killer, and Crescent said goodbye to the cafe owner and returned to the castle satisfied.
