chapter thirty five

Taehyung

Kailah is peacefully sleeping, her head resting on my chest, her breathing regular and calm

But all night I couldn't close my eyes, not even a half of a second

I feel anger boiling inside me even though I didn't know that man

How can someone be so cruel ?

This is upsetting and infuriating at the same time

I feel so bad for everything she's been through

Now I understand why she was reluctant about being in a relationship, about Love, about feelings

She is really so strong and I'm so lucky that after all, she let me in her life

That's why I need to protect her and do everything in my power to make sure that she is happy

I know how many pieces I have to fix now

She groans softly as she rolled onto her side

I look at her tenderly as I fix the blanket on her shoulder

I get out the bed since I know that I won't be able to sleep anyway

And for the first time during this trip, I turn on my phone to check my messages and mails

I didn't want to upset Kailah by being on my phone or PC for the whole holiday

As soon as my display lights up and I connect to the wifi, my phone starts to tremble with a bunch of new messages

And a lot of missing calls

Lord !

What the hell is going on?

I call my sister since she was also calling me

It's 2 am here so I know it's about noon in LA, so she might still be awake

" Tae-hyi ! " I utter in a low voice as soon as she picks up

" Taehyung, I thought you were dead " she retorts

" I'm alive ! "

" Well...not for too long " she suddenly says in a lower tone

" What's going on? "

" Momma knows that you're not in Osaka, Where the hell are you? She is terribly mad "

I glance at the woman peacefully sleeping in the bed and I open the door quietly to go outside

I stop in the empty living room, it's crazy how they always keep the lights on even though they're all asleep

" What did she say? " I ask, ignoring her questions

" I don't know, I just know she is mad, you know she won't tell me what's going, but from what I heard from the noises coming from her office door, she knows about your girlfriend, and she isn't happy, hal-abeoji is coming back home tomorrow, they're all acting as if there was an emergency, Taehyung please, you should come back, this is chaos "

" I...I can't come back yet "
