Inpu's POV
After last night's events, I was really tired but still had tons of things to do.
Bryan had been stressed all night, waking up to anything that made a sound, so I knew I had to act fast.
I told my goons about what happened to alert me as much as I was, just so they could be prepared if anyone went to the base, but I had something else to do.
Despite what happened, Bryan still had other work to do so I was left with Crystal while I went to view a few houses outside of town.
Most of them weren't big enough for what we were expecting our family to look like, so I was expecting the day to go by without any luck with a new place to move, but the last place I actually thought was perfect.
My standards were low, I was expecting a fixer upper with how old most of the houses in the neighborhood I was looking were, so I was more looking for the room for seven of us.
The last house I looked at had enough room for Bryan and I to upgrade from a queen bed to a king, each of the kids could have their own rooms and a play room, but my favorite part was a basement that was big enough to hold mine and Bryan's equipment and still have tons of room.
It was something I was going to debate with Bryan, but it was a nice house, already an upgrade from an apartment, and it was in a quiet neighborhood, so as long as we were careful, no one we were enemies with would be able to find us.
I really only got it because it was cheap, but repair costs would eventually add up so we'd still be paying the same price regardless, but either way, I knew this place was going to be our new home.
After a long hour of paperwork, I was able to pay for the place in full so we'd only need to worry about other bills and not mortgage before I went home and planned on telling Bryan.
Bryan's job was keeping him late since it was a part time job and other staff was calling out, so I just worked on making dinner while I waited for him.
A few more hours passed and Bryan still wasn't home, so he texted me asking to just go on with my night as normal while he was stuck at work.
I ended up watching his location for a while around the time he guessed he'd be leaving, and like I expected, he was on his way home, so I made sure his plate of food was warmed up before I placed it on the table along with a copy of the key for our new house.
Crystal was already in bed, so I was just sitting at the table on my phone while I waited.
Bryan finally walked in around 30 minutes after he left, clearly getting stuck in late night traffic, but once he sat down, I made sure everything was in front of him before I started to gently rub his shoulders.
"Babe, I love you, but please not now, everything is tender and I don't want to be touched"
"I know, but with how stressed you've been, I'm pretty sure you need this, even if it hurts a bit from being sore"
He didn't respond, just let out a tired groan before leaning into where one of my hands was a bit before he eventually started to eat his food, not even noticing the key yet.
I decided to sit next to him and let him eat a bit, but once he did notice the key, I saw his eyes light up.
"This isn't a new key for the apartment, is it?"
"Nope, not at all"
"Then what is it for?"
"You know a lot about what kind of keys I bring into the house, take a guess what its for"
"If you bought more toys I may actually kick your ass"
I didn't even have a response for him right away, I just burst out laughing while Bryan chuckled a bit before he continued to look at the key.
"So you're really that out of the mood?"
"Yes, we've had enough stress recently, I don't want to be submissive and have something happen when I'm most vulnerable"
"Fair enough, but you do know that I wouldn't let anything happen to you, right"
"I know, my mind is just all over the place right now, anyways do you plan on telling me what this key is for?"
"You really haven't figured it out yet?"
"No, just tell me already!"
"Alright, alright, so you know how I said I'd go looking at a few different houses today?"
"Yeah...wait, you're joking!"
"Not even a little, I found the perfect place for us, it will take some time to fix up, but it is perfect and it was cheap so I managed to pay for it in cash"
"We have a house..."
"Yeah, feels strange, doesn't it?"
"It does, when can you take me there~"
"I have some things I have to do tomorrow at my base but I'll be free the rest of the day, I can take you once I'm done, and since no one knows of our new place..."
"No, we don't have anything there yet, I doubt you'd want to do anything on the floor"
"You've let me-"
"OK YOU'RE DONE"
"Am I in the dog house tonight?"
"No, you just need to take care of Crystal if she wakes up in the middle of the night"
"Fair enough, I'm going to shower before I head to bed, if you would like to join once you finish your dinner, feel free, tell me or don't, I don't mind either way"
Bryan just nodded and I gave him a kiss on the forehead before I left the room.
He seemed to take the news I gave him well, which made me feel a lot better about the fact I got it before consulting him, then again, I am talking about the same person who found out I was a villain while being a hero and only told one person just in case.
I finished getting ready for bed fairly quickly, and after about a half hour, Bryan joined me and we cuddled till we fell asleep.
