Sailom looked up from his phone when he heard the door open.

Zo walked in with a grin so wide it looked like his face might split in two.

Sailom squinted at him. Slowly, deliberately, he lowered his phone. "Why do you look like that?" he asked. Then, with a smirk creeping onto his lips, he added, "Don't tell me Nai finally let you sleep with him."

Zo froze mid-step.

His eyes widened, round and shocked. "How did you know?"

Sailom shrugged, completely unfazed. "It's the only thing that's been living rent-free in your head for weeks."

Zo's grin somehow widened further, if that was even possible. He dropped onto the couch beside Sailom with a satisfied sigh. "He did," Zo said proudly. "We really did sleep together, and it was so awesome. I really couldn't get enough of him."

Sailom groaned and clapped his hands over his ears. "I don't want details. I absolutely do not want details."

Zo ignored him. "It was amazing," he continued dreamily. "Nothing like anything I have experienced before. Just—wow."

"I said stop," Sailom snapped, peeking through his fingers. "Also, wipe that smile off your face. You are genuinely creeping me out."

Zo laughed and leaned back, completely unbothered. "I can't help it. I am just so happy," he said. "Nai finally accepted me. And our marriage. How am I supposed to not smile?"

Sailom scoffed. "If sleeping together counted as accepting marriage, you would have at least a hundred wives by now."

Zo smacked the back of Sailom's head. "You really know how to kill the mood," he complained. "This is exactly why I prefer talking to Fah over you."

Sailom rubbed his head. "Good. Go bother him instead."

Zo glanced around the room. "Speaking of which—where is he?"

"No idea," Sailom replied. "He is usually the first one here."

Almost on cue, the door opened again.

Saifah walked in.

He greeted them both with a quiet nod and a polite, "You are here already," before moving to the single-seater couch and sitting down. His face was calm—too calm. His posture was rigid, his eyes distant, like he was physically present but mentally somewhere else entirely.

Sailom noticed immediately. His twin senses twinkling immediately.

Zo didn't.

"Oh good, you are here too!" Zo said brightly. "I actually need both of your help."

Saifah looked at him. "With what?"

Zo rubbed his hands together, a mix of nervousness and excitement lighting up his expression. "I need help planning my next date with Nai."

Sailom blinked. "...That's it?" He leaned back into the couch, shoulders relaxing. "I thought you were about to announce a corporate disaster or something."

Zo frowned. "This is serious. You just don't understand."

Sailom snorted but said nothing.

Zo launched into his story anyway.

"Nai took me camping for our date last weekend," Zo said, his voice softening. "He had suggested that we go on dates—real dates—to actually get to know each other. And the first one he planned was camping."

Sailom raised an eyebrow. Saifah listened silently.

"I learned so much about him," Zo continued. "He loves nature. He likes stargazing, swimming, just... being outside. He is the type who will spend money on things he thinks are worth it without even checking the price."

Zo smiled to himself. "He bought an entire RV just because he loves camping."

Sailom let out a low whistle. "Sounds like Nai."

"It wasn't just any RV," Zo said quickly. "It had everything. A kitchen, a bathroom, a proper bed, TV, even Wi-Fi. For someone like Nai, that thing must have cost a fortune."

Saifah nodded faintly.

"He then brought me to this beautiful place in the middle of the jungle. He said it was his safe haven," Zo added, quieter now. "And he took me there. That means he trusts me, right?"

Sailom hummed in agreement.

"And he meal-prepped," Zo said, his voice warm with disbelief. "Cooked for us in that tiny kitchen. It was simple, but it felt... perfect."

Saifah finally spoke. "It sounds like he put a lot of thought into it."

"That's exactly it," Zo said. "And when I compare it to the date I planned before..." He winced. "It just looks like I was trying to show off."

Sailom chuckled. "Weren't you?"

Zo shot him an offended look. "I wasn't showing off. I just wanted Nai to know what kind of life he could have with me, as my spouse, as a member of the Boonruang family. The advantages. The comfort."

"Luxury," Sailom translated.

"Security," Zo corrected. "Anyway, now I want to do something different."

Saifah tilted his head. "What do you want us to do?"

"I don't know," Zo admitted. "That's why I am asking you."

He hesitated, then added, "Nai's birthday is coming up. It will be his first birthday after our marriage. I want it to be memorable."

Sailom thought for a moment. "You could buy him flowers."

Zo considered it, then shook his head. "I can do that any day. And Nai doesn't even like flowers."

"Fair point," Sailom said.

"I want something personal," Zo continued. "Something I do myself."

Saifah spoke up again. "Then bake him a cake."

Zo's eyes lit up instantly. "That's a great idea!"

Then, just as quickly, his shoulders slumped. "Except... I can't bake. Last time I tried reheating something, the oven had exploded, don't you remember?"

Sailom snorted. "Then, you could just ask the maids to do the baking for you."

"No," Zo said firmly. "It wouldn't mean anything if I didn't do it myself."

"Take lessons then," Sailom suggested. "There is still time before his birthday."

Zo nodded eagerly. "Yes! I will tell my secretary to find the best baker in town and arrange for my baking lessons."

"There is no need," Saifah said quietly.

Zo frowned. "Why not?"

"You can just ask Jui," Saifah replied.

Zo blinked. "Jui? He knows how to bake?"

Saifah looked at him. "Did you like your wedding cake?"

Zo's eyes widened. "Wait—don't tell me—"

Saifah nodded once.

Zo slapped a hand over his mouth. "Jui made that cake?"

"It was so yummy and beautiful at the same time. Do you know that our moms have been trying to find that baker for weeks," Zo said, stunned. "I even asked Nai, but he wouldn't tell me anything."

"Jui doesn't really bake anymore," Saifah said. "But I am sure he wouldn't mind helping, since it is related to Nai."

Zo's excitement reignited instantly. "Perfect. I will convince him."

He bounced slightly in his seat, already planning.

Sailom watched Saifah closely.

"You are acting weird," Sailom said suddenly. "Is everything okay with you and Jui?"

Saifah pressed his lips together.

For a moment, it looked like he might say something.

Then the door creaked softly behind them—

And Saifah still didn't answer.
