Day 22

Good Afternoon, My Fellow Kings, and Queens 

Hopefully, your day has been well, considering tomorrow is Friday and we will soon be entering a new month. But anywho, I do not have anything for you all today, except a sermon by Jerry Flower called, "It's Too Expensive," which is a part of a series called Cheat Codes. 

So, if you have the chance, I recommend watching it as it is linked at the bottom, for it is not only informative but necessary as we gradually approach the end of this year. However, do heed this, "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed." (Proverbs 3:13-18) 

So rather than chase after material things that will one day disappear, for just as we entered this world naked, we shall leave this world naked. Instead, chase after wisdom, which you can gain by fearing the Lord and petitioning for it as stated in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." 

So, while reading the bible is good, if you do not understand it or apply its principles then what is the point of reading it? If you are going to act ignorantly and not do as it states, which brings us to Proverbs 22:3, "The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." 

So would you rather be a prudent person or a simple person for one is aware of the danger and stays clear of it, while the other sees the danger but acts as if it is not dangerous and everything will be okay. 

For example, where I dorm there is a small nest of wasps or hornets near one of the entrances, so yesterday when I went to throw away some trash, I saw one of them flying above the entrance. So, I took the chance considering it wasn't too low to where it could sting me, and threw away my trash, however, as I was walking back, I saw that the hornet was to the point that if I walked past it, I could touch it. So instead of taking the short route, I went the other way and returned to my dorm. 

To summarize, while the short path is swift it can lead to more problems than solutions later down the road, so be slow and steady even though it will take longer it is more profitable once the ball gets rolling.
