Hannah had only just about made it back to normal by the time the Monaco GP came around. Lando had put his foot down with Zak and held his ground, stating that he couldn't leave Hannah there with Isla alone in her current state, and for once he'd actually won the battle and not let himself be guilted into going by the insistence that the team needed him.

He'd answer had been simple- his family needed him more.

Hannah had watched on in quiet disbelief as he'd had this conversation with Zak. She'd already been preparing herself for the inevitable disappointment that was coming when he announced he was going back to MTC. Never in a million years would she have bet on him actually holding his ground and staying in Monaco with them. History had proven that he would always do what the team needed of him, it was why they loved him after all.

But this time it seemed was different.

Granted, he may have been physically there in Monaco with them, but he had spent a fair amount of time hunched over his laptop at the table, joining in with various meetings virtually instead.

It didn't matter to Hannah though. She was just so overwhelmed with the fact that for the first time in what felt like forever, he seemed to be putting his family first.

She didn't dare ask what had brought it on. It would've been nice if she hadn't had to spend a week being violently ill for him to have whatever epiphany he'd had, but she'd take it nonetheless.

Isla was equally as delighted. He'd taken to taking her with him on her bike when he went for his run each morning to give Hannah an hour of peace. It had quickly become the highlight of Isla's day.

Hannah had pointed out that she wasn't entirely sure he was running at anywhere near the pace his trainer had intended given how slow their daughter was on a bike, but Lando had simply shrugged and said he could do a second faster run in the evening to make up for it.

Hannah wasn't about to argue with him twice, she was beyond pleased that he'd not only shown up, but he seemed to be making the effort this time.

It also left Hannah, for the first time in a very very long time, with an hour or so to herself. That was how she found herself sat at the piano, starting to think about what she was going to do for Silverstone.

She was surprised by how nervous she was about it. It was something she would've done with her eyes closed a few years ago, but now getting back on stage suddenly felt like a massive deal. Particularly with the wedge she'd driven between her and Lando with her insistence she wanted to do this.

She was messing around with a tune she'd had stuck in her head, singing quietly into her phone to record it, when Lando and Isla returned. The pair of them crashing back through the door and she wasn't sure which one of them was laughing more.

"Did you two have fun?" Hannah asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Daddy fell over!" Isla giggled.

"What, wait?" Hannah laughed. "Are you okay?" She turned to Lando.

"I'm fine." He held up his grazed palms. "What she's not telling you is that she brake tested me and wiped me out.... In front of half a dozen fans with cameras as well I should add." He walked over to the sink to wash the dirt off his hands.

"Oh you're going to be an internet sensation." Hannah laughed.

"Don't I know it." Lando rolled his eyes.

"I did tell you taking her might not be the best idea."

"I know, but she loves it and I get to spend time with her." He shrugged. "I just need to watch where I'm going a bit more."
