Stressing about uncontrollable matters isn't wise but focusing on controllable things indicates maturity.

Sitting in the vast library of his university, Jungkook's mind subconsciously traveled back to Seoul and then to Hawaii, where his family currently resides. An unforgettable image emerged in front of his eyes, blurring the words in the book he was studying. His head was filled with a mixture of memories: memories of a certain man he loved all of his life dearly but secretly, memories of growing under the soft feathers of his parents, and memories of his beautiful home. Everything was left behind at the beginning of his new journey; his carefree lifestyle, his friends, his naughtiness, some fragments of his old self.

The most prominent memory of the man who kissed his forehead so intimately, five years ago, that he still can feel the warmth of it. The man who told him to call him whenever needed but himself, he never called in these five years. The eternally cruel man who he can't forget, for whom he sacrificed the cozy nights practicing in the studio, drenched in sweat and tears of hard work. The hard work he was new to. The rotten hope, he carried in his heart, still. Abandoning the little joys of life, Jungkook now stood high at the peak of the mountain of success, euphoric. Hence, a void never dies inside his heart which he must conquer and rife.

Life is so unpredictable. In this long duration, he became Jungkook from Koo. He transformed into one of the brightest scholars from a careless average student. The journey from unknown to well-known was not like sipping a cup of tea, but his hardships paid off whenever he heard the chants of his "JK" from his devoted "Euphorias".

Closing his eyes at night before going to sleep, Jungkook usually couldn't believe how he had come so far. When he emerged as the ace of the music industry. He was the center of his band "BEGIN" for the last three years. All credit goes to his dedicated Ahjushi hyungies who put sense into his mind when he was on the verge of wasting his most precious years of life. The opportunity, the offer for Jungkook to be a part of them and their music was accomplished by the boy gracefully. They introduced him to the real wonders of music, pulling him inside the maze of expressions, and living so worthwhile.

The thought of leaving and being oceans away for years filled his heart with inscrutable pain. Everything he needed was in Seoul back then, except for one thing - his dream. Grateful for being forced to choose his dream, Jungkook smiled, blinking back the moisture formed out of nostalgia.

The dream of becoming a dancer who can reside on the throne of onlookers' hearts. The dream of becoming worthy enough to not get rejected by his love, again. Who would tell him he was not rejected by the handsome man? he was prioritized by the man. Who would tell him, he was the precious crown of his countless admirers' hearts? Protected and worshiped by "Euphorias". Who would tell Jungkook that someone was impatiently counting days to meet him.

His eyes well up with tears, whenever he thinks back to the days when he was able to see the ethereal face every morning and night. Well, every single time, Jungkook's every thought ends at one point, Kim Taehyung. And then the realization that the said person has abandoned him and is possibly living a happily married life maybe has adopted babies too, fills his eyes with hot waters.

He often felt the presence of a familiar soul around him, smelling heavenly like always, while deep in slumber, the soothing presence whose absence was killing him to the core, the influence of whom he feels in every fiber of his being. He was both happy and dreadful about going back to his family. His studies were complete with just one last exam and then, he would be flying to Hawaii.

Jungkook, when he left for the States, never in his dreams thought that his beloved family would shift to another country. A country he always wanted to live in. He smiled. Soon he will be there.
