The night was deep and dark. The moonlight was restricted by the clouds to reach the earth and illuminate it. The branches of the Sakura trees were moving harmoniously along with the air.

Amid the night full in its bloom, Koo was wide awake staring at his sleeping husband. He felt a tug at his trousers and shushed the puppy. After a minute of observation or so, Koo's silhouette moved towards the opening of the room. The puppy followed suit. Both were as quiet as the night.

It was Koo's 31st week of pregnancy and his baby bump was bigger than before. He had both his hands resting on his lower belly as he took small steps out of the room to the living area. They were temporarily shifted to the ground floor. Koo was forbidden to use stairs and in the lift he felt nauseous so they decided to live these last months of Koo's pregnancy on the ground floor.

Koo turned the mini light in the kitchen on. He took a plastic box of ice cream out of the refrigerator. Tan tugged at Koo's trousers again, pulling to the back door of the kitchen. Koo knitted his brows and in their sign language signaled Tan to go to the place behind the kitchen counter where they usually used to eat scoops after scoops of ice cream secretly.

Tan continuously pulled Koo in that one direction and started to run in the same direction. Koo unhung two spoons from the stand and holding the ice-cream, he followed Tan.

They were out in the garden. Koo took slow steps walking wherever Tan wanted him to go. At the far end of the garden there was a grapevine and a tiny place under it. Tan went inside and sat there, patting the spot with his paw as if telling Koo to sit there.
Koo looked here and there and said, "you wanted us to have our treat here? It's a pretty place though. Okie, as you want my pommie baby."

With much difficulty, Koo crouched down. Folding his legs, he huffed and inhaled long breaths. Tan impatiently nosed at Koo's knee. "Take it easy... Lemme breathe first.. it was a long walk. By the way, I never knew you were this romantic like eating ice cream under the vines. Truthfully tell me, do you have a girlfriend?" Tan just stared at Koo obliviously.

Koo's eyes were accustomed to the dark so it was easy to see the surroundings. The clouds slowly gave way to the moon to shine bright." Omo omo, do you meet your girlfriend here that's why you know this spot. Naughty baby.. " Koo pulled Tan's fur lightly and got another nudge from the puppy. He opened the lid and held a spoon in front of Tan who licked away the cold dessert. They continue to enjoy the treat that they were having after so many days.

"Let's have a break, pommie, I feel tired." Koo mumbled. The night breeze was lulling him to sleep. Both the ice cream thieves fell asleep before they could know under the thick grapevine unaware of the chaos they were about to welcome.

Taehyung changed his side and stretched his arm to pull Koo closer. His hand met with empty sheets. He searched a little more farther and then he flinched up. He switched on the night lamp and saw his baby was nowhere to be seen. He left the bed and pushed open the restroom door which teased him back with its emptiness.

He slipped into his slippers hastily and exited the room. The kitchen was also vacated. He walked toward his parents' room and knocked. The knocks seemed hurried and tense.

A sleepy Mr.Kim appeared at the threshold, "is Koo with you?" Taehyung's voice sounded sleepy yet filled with worry.

Mr.Kim glanced back at his sleeping wife and said, "No.. why?"
