For someone technically cheating on her husband, Yaeko couldn't care less. Enjoying the chance to have some moments with Yuzuru while her husband was away didn't feel bad in the slightest. She even enjoyed the whole thing to the fullest.
The sad thing is that when he did come back, she was once again forced to hide, having just a few moments per day to sneak some pictures of a certain figure skater and fully enjoy whatever he decided to send to her on that particular day.
Surely enough, every single time he did send her something, anticipation ran through her veins. He somehow always found a way to excite her, even if she had probably already seen every inch of his body.
Finding some time to fully enjoy what he sent her was hard but at the same time, it only made her value it all a bit more.
It wasn't even a surprise that Yuzuru was also far busier than usual once his shows finally started so maybe both of them were trying their absolute hardest to keep contact alive and well.
Once Yae actually thought she was becoming a pro at handling the whole thing, her husband surprised her once again.
"I need you to come with me today" he told her after breakfast without a single question whether she would be available or not.
"Where?"
"You'll see."
"Is it any contract you're doing?"
She was curious, obviously, but more than anything, Yaeko wanted to know exactly what he was planning to prepare herself.
No such luck when his mood didn't seem to be good in the slightest.
"You will just fucking come and ask no other questions."
The tone scared her more than it should. Something about the way he spoke to her made her feel on high alert.
It wasn't usual for him to speak to her in that way, in fact, it was way too similar to when he got suspicious of her in Sendai. The mere memories brought shivers to her skin. She couldn't bear to even think about how his hands felt as he constrained her breathing.
So what was he up to now?
Fear finally settled in. Had he somehow figured out about Yuzu? Was the skater even safe?
Her first priority before getting ready was messaging him. Yae had this weird feeling that something was going on and just thinking of a scenario where Yuzu could be hurt made her swallow dry.
Still, and hopefully, he answered her message almost right away.
"I'm fine, I just got home from the rink. Are you okay? Something happened?" He quickly answered, making her take a deep breath in relief.
"I'm okay! It's probably all in my head, don't worry about it."
Yuzuru didn't seem too convinced in the messages that followed but well, it wasn't as if she had much more time.
Leaving the bathroom, which had become somewhat of a safe refuge for her in the past weeks, Yae had to quickly get ready to leave with her husband.
Knowing that he was safe was all she needed to be a bit more confident that whatever was going on wasn't bad in the slightest. It was probably just yet another thing her husband wanted her to do to avoid leaking information by using someone else.
Yaeko should have probably believed her instincts but doing so would have made her even more nervous.
Still, from the moment her husband sat with her in the car, staring mindlessly at the window, it was very hard to ignore how weird he was acting.
"Kiyoshi... Is everything alright?"
"Shut up."
Gulping, Yaeko finally realized that something had to be going on and she was about to find out the consequences.
If her previous experience was anything to go by, he wouldn't be nice just because they were married.
Every second of anticipation only made her more nervous, wondering what the hell she should be expecting from a man that she had known for so long.
It felt like she didn't know him, though, not when he spoke to her in that way and eyed her with disdain.
Was there anything she could do then? Not at all.
They pulled over at a storage house a bit outside of the centre of the city, one that she recognized as part of the Yakuza's property.
He pushed her out of the car and dragged her inside without a single word. Yaeko could only see the eyes on her and wondered if this was truly how she ended, up in the middle of nowhere with so many watching eyes.
It felt ridiculous to think that these people were willing to ignore her in case anything did happen but then again, in the Yakuza, if you done something wrong, you don't expect anyone to be by your side.
To her surprise, Yaeko was graced with the view of a man she didn't know, tied up and bleeding painfully from wounds all over his body. It didn't take a genius to know that they had been torturing him.
"What am I doing here?" She asked in a challenge. If her husband had any plans to do anything on that day, she wouldn't go down without a fight.
"You're here to watch. I'm being nice to you, Yaeko, given the fact that you're my wife."
She didn't understand it at first but all of her doubts would soon be erased once her husband spoke again. "This is Hito, tell the lady what you did.""I..."
The man was in pain, having trouble speaking but a lash of a belt made him talk. "I slept with a married woman."
"Exactly. And who is this woman?"
"She... She's the wife of a Yakuza."
Yaeko didn't have to be a genius, not when he was laying it out so obviously. She was being sent a very obvious message.
"And what happens to men like you?"
Her husband was smiling, looking creepier than ever in her eyes.
"They're taught a lesson"
