In just a few moments, Yaeko was being treated with all of the respect and attentiveness that she was used to.

Maybe at home things weren't like that, but she was certainly enjoying the perks of being respected.

With a coffee in hand and all the pleasantries that money could buy, Yae waited in the comfort of the waiting room outside of the director's office.

As much as she hated when people made her wait, the prospect of being there and served coffee and little snacks was better than dealing with her husband or whatever one of the younger, stupid members had come up with in the past hours.

It wasn't a lie that she enjoyed her time away so having an excuse was always a positive thing for her.

Being there and watching people go by was something she truly enjoyed. When you spend so many years locked into the confinements of where your husband allowed your presence, it's only easy to start valuing little things like these chances to just observe human behavior.

Truth be told, the promise was kept. Yaeko didn't stay in the pampered state for too long until the office door opened and revealed the man she came to see with another one by his side.

Something about the unknown man looked incredibly familiar but at the same time, Yae couldn't really place where she had seen him previously.

What she did know was that a simple crossed look was enough to make them both linger.

As weird as it was, everything seemed to stop once their eyes met and his stare was so intense that she wanted to melt in that very same place.

For someone with such an angelic and calm look, this man certainly knew how to make an impact and the worst of it all was that she had no idea what was triggering all of this for her.

"Hanyu-san, I will see you at the time of the show then. I wish you the best in your upcoming travels." She heard the director say.

"Thank you for having me"

Yaeko couldn't help but overhear the conversation. She was still focused deeply on the man in question and no move of his went unnoticed.

"Ah, Takayama-san, I'm sorry I made you wait."

The director eventually said when he noticed her sitting there. You could almost see the fear in his eyes as he spoke. The reality was that the man knew very well that her presence was rarely casual.

The other man, however, faced her with a confidence that was only possible from someone who had no idea of her identity or what it implied. A smile settled on his face, something that Yaeko rarely saw when she approached someone.

"I'm Hanyu Yuzuru." he said before the director could dismiss him.

"Takayama Yaeko."

To anyone watching the exchange from the outside, it was hard to notice the little things that Yaeko seemed to be feeling. She feared that it was obvious, how the mere sound of his voice, no matter how sweet, seemed to make her whole body react in overdrive.

She had never felt this way, certainly not with her husband and certainly not with any man she had met before.

In truth, the only explanation she could find for the unusual reaction was that she had just developed somewhat of a crush on this man. This was one thing that she had never really experienced after high school and was never this strong either.

Well, she never really had the chance to live the life of most young adults. He was young and attractive, it was only natural that she was a little bit interested, especially when what she had at home was so different.

Still, and even if she found herself almost instantly fantasizing over how he would look without any clothes on, Yae knew very well that all of it was in her head and well, she was free to dream at will there.

The one over she did on his body didn't seem to go unnoticed by the man, who was looking at her with a slightly raised brow and what she could've sworn to be a tiny smirk.

"Your husband is not joining us, I take it?" the director said, bringing her completely back to reality.

This was a woman who was very aware of the situation and there was no way that the director would enjoy the presence of her husband, something that she knew to touch on almost immediately.

"Would you rather he was?"

The reaction only proved what she was already predicting. The man quickly nodded no with his head and the change of subject was quick and swift.

"Should we go then?"

It was with a smile that Yaeko turned toward the man who had managed to affect her so much and bowed slightly.

"It was nice to meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine"

The quick response and the look in his eyes was way too dangerous. Yae felt her heartbeat ramp up and her skin fill with goosebumps at every smile. The sheer power he seemed to hold on her was scary and all at the same time, way too tempting. Anything forbidden tends to be appealing and this was something she was quickly figuring out.

Maybe for what was the first time in her life, Yaeko truly wondered how things would be if she hadn't married so young due to her father's irresponsibility. Up until that point, she only considered the situation and the implication it had on her lifestyle and career but this was entirely different. Could she have had this connection with someone? Could passion be a thing?

Whatever the scenario, it was certainly hypothetical and one she would never have answers for.

All she could do then was focus on the task at hand, turning to the director and quickly following him into the office. It was time to do some business.
