Yaeko froze completely when she heard the words of the man.

This was the first time they ever spoke directly but there was no denying that he didn't beat around the bush.

How the hell did he know?

Unlike her husband, he was oddly specific with his claims and there was no way she was escaping it with mere bluff allegations.

Not only that, it wasn't that hard to understand what he wanted either. This man had made it perfectly clear.

Yaeko knew she could just ignore it but she also wasn't planning on giving him any chance to play with her so easily.

"I don't know what you're talking about"

Holding her against the wall and constricting most of her movements, the young Yakuza didn't find her funny in the slightest.

"Don't play coy with me, you whore. Do you really think you would be allowed free access to a city without anyone watching? Do you actually think that we weren't watching you? I have to say, those goodbyes were certainly emotional."

Yaeko froze once again. There was no way she was escaping his allegations, not when they were true. The man in front of her eyes seemed very satisfied with himself as he watched her go through all of those ideas and options.

"I won't give you anything."

"You would rather I just tell your husband? Listen... I don't judge, he's not getting any younger and it isn't as if you married out of love, but that's exactly where I come in. You don't need an athlete, sweetheart, I can give it to you as much as you want."

"You're disgusting."

"Don't lie to yourself."

"Take your hands off me."

Yaeko saw it all in his eyes, the idiot was enjoying all of it way too much and she had no control over it.

"Aren't you a feisty little thing?"

"Are you out of your mind? You forget who I am? You want to tell my husband, go ahead, but what do you think he will say when I recount this little encounter?"

"And who do you think he will believe? He was already way too suspicious about you to ignore it. He won't believe you, princess."

"And you think he will believe someone who just wants to steal his place around here? Give Kiyoshi some credit, he didn't get where he is by chance."

"Looks to me like you think you know your husband well, but I have a feeling you will have a little surprise"

Yaeko just got the hell out of there, quickly pushing him away and running away from the first moment she could. Her first instinct when she was finally out of sight and somewhat safe was to text one of the numbers that had been saved in the past months.

'I need an out. I think they're close to finding out so we have to act fast' she texted quickly making sure that there was no mention of names.

She was completely new to this but Yae was a fast learner. They had mentioned to her more than once that her best choice was to always avoid possible ways to identify the person on the other side of the line.

'We will find a way. Stay safe in the meanwhile'

The response was thankfully almost immediate and it allowed Yaeko to breathe a bit of relief.

In a way, she knew that it wasn't exactly a perfect solution but it was food to know that it would all be over soon.

Whatever happened once she left this mess was an uncertainty but Yae was more than certain that it would be a far better life.

This was the scariest thing she had done in her life and it was most likely only getting worse with each moment that went by.

Telling her to stay safe was in no way or form what she needed. Anyone in her position would like to have more reassurance but this was still better than nothing.

More than anything, knowing that someone in the Yakuza knew about Yuzu and was very willing to rat her out was scary. She wanted him to be safe, wanted to make sure there was no risk to the man she loved so much.

It wasn't as if she was willing to just accept the proposition that the young Yakuza was making, after all, it was already bad enough that she had given her body to one of them unwillingly.

Yaeko was now more sure that there was only one man on earth that she wanted in her and he was certainly not a member of the Yakuza.

Looking around her and the tiny space where she hid, uncertainty started creeping up on her body.
What was she doing? Was this the right call?

But deep down, everything in her said it was. Yaeko wanted to be the hell out of there and the only way for that to happen was by doing this. If risking her life was the way to go, at the very least it would be for freedom.

And the only thing in her mind then was that she needed him to be okay, no matter what happened to her.

What Yae could have never predicted was that she was already too late to protect him and they would both soon experience the wrath of the Yakuza.
