Chapter 45: Rouge x Red

Sunshine peered through the window and attacked my eyelids, causing me to crack open my eyes, ready to use Dominator's Touch to give testicular torsion to whoever dared to disturb my sleep before realizing it was just the morning sun.

...Making a list of deities related to the sun...

Apollo was going to get it.

Though moments later my sudden and unreasonable hatred toward the god dissipated when I noticed that I felt very good. Almost better than I have ever felt in fact. Was this what it felt like to have a restful sleep instead of the 47th bottle of Intermediate Stimulant?

Shaking my head I gave myself a quick shower using Kelvin Catalyst before dressing myself up and going down to prepare myself breakfast, Rias' kitchen did not lack any sort of ingredient. Sure I had food inside my inventory but I wasn't going to have a breakfast of only cookies.

Once I reached downstairs however I noticed that the others were, in fact, waiting on me to start breakfast so I joined them for breakfast, I will be honest, I am pretty sure Akeno's cooking is marginally better than mine. Not an issue I really an issue I felt the need to address, I am not too interested in raising my cooking skill.

Overall, I actually really enjoyed eating together, joking with Koneko, teasing each other with Akeno and Rias, and acknowledging that Kiba in fact, existed.

After breakfast we all moved according to our plans, Akeno to work on her magic control, Kiba to do whatever he does best and Koneko to go cultivate with the pills I gave her. This left Rias and I alone together.

We both moved to the wider courtyard of her mansion Rias looked rather excited while I was neutral, while I got the opportunity to see her power of destruction action it wasn't something major for me.

"Alright Rias, first of all, I want to get a good benchmark of your abilities of your abilities all right? Does that sound fine to you?" Rias nodded enthusiastically.

"Yep, don't complain when I blow your expectations out of the water." I gave her a small grin. Somehow I doubted that would happen.

Testing her abilities was pretty simple, I used Terra and Aero catalyst in junction to create targets for her which she used her power of destruction on. Starting from simple boulders to making moving targets to flying ones.

This exercise allowed me to get a good glimpse of the power of destruction and by god(Fucking ow) it's fucking scary.

I have a sensory over what I am controlling thanks to mana interfacing so I can tell what's happening to it, I can usually get a pretty good idea of whatever happens to whatever I control. And I can certainly tell you, the power of destruction really destroys.

Like really, when the power of destruction hit my wall I felt what happened to it. The wall didn't shatter or break, hell it didn't even break it down. It annihilated the wall, to at least a subatomic level to the extent it felt like my connection was there then it wasn't, it even destroyed my mana interfacing.
