I stand with my hands fumbling together nervously, everything in me just... I... I don't know. I can't put it into words. It's like I am excited but scared at the same time. I don't know why but... my heart is beating faster than normal and I am fighting back tears already. But I have to put myself together here as I stand in the throne room alone, merely surrounded only by guards standing to attention. But I can tell they wish they could gossip with one another at my arrival that no one ever expected.
I tried to fix my hair nice for this meeting but with it being shoulder length there wasn't much I could do. So I merely wear a very delicate little flower crown that Hazel had made. You'd think I would be good at doing hair myself by now but it was always so long that I never knew what to do with it.

I also didn't have anything fancy to wear for this. So I sold a dragon skull to a museum and used the money to buy a pale mint green gown with a tight waist and bigger skirt than I am used to. I do find that I rather love it, though...

I hear a tiny little gargle noise and look on my shoulder at Pascal who sits there awaiting what will happen. I life my hand and pet him with one finger.
After waiting a moment but not nearly as long as I would have expected... I hear rustling on the other side of the left door behind the thrones. Then suddenly the door opens and the queen is the first to burst her way through as she puts aside all propriety due to sheer shock. Her eyes are wide and she seems stunned. Her husband comes through and his expression is much the same way.
