I stand firm with my hands outstretched in front of us, a shield of light conjured before me that blocked every arrow, spear, and axe thrown, the bodies of the Fearlings that lunged at us bounced off it and screeching from the burning effect they now feel.
My skin gets a chill sensation when I realize what I just did. My eyes are wide and my heart is beating fast as I keep my hands there, tiny strands of golden lightning trailing in the air that forms a half bubble like a wall of energy. It takes me a moment before I can come back to reality and I look at my hands when I lower them, light on my palms like they're on fire under my skin with white flames.
