JACK:

"I don't think there's anything that rhymes with orange, Punz," I say as we walk along the streets with her.

"But there has to be something!" she argues. "Uh... florange?"

"Not a word" I skip once, amused.

"Dorange?"

"Nope."

"Gloarange!"

"Definitely not a word..."

"Oh! This is it here!" she stops us at the right house. We're, I guess, invited to have dinner with Hazel and her family. Not sure what to expect but it sounds nice. We're both pretty hungry by now, (still a strange feeling for me but I guess Man in Moon granted me mortality for my quest).

She knocks at the door politely then puts her hands behind her again.

It's not too long before we are welcomed by Hazel opening it and saying, "Well if it isn't Aphrodite and the ice princess?" with attitude but also a smile.

I roll my eyes at that while Punz just giggles. "Well you're not wrong, Hazel. Jack does make a very lovely ice princess," she teases.

Hazel snorts as I just glare at Rapunzel who notices that and giggles a tad again. "We're not late, are we?" she asks Hazel.

"Not at all. Mama just set everything up. Come inside!" she steps back to let us in.

It's a charming little house inside with plenty of belongings around; very home-like. It's strange to see places in this era when it's been so long ago that I lived through it.

I leave my staff by the door and Punz hangs her bag there too, her little lizard still on her shoulder. The table is set up with a cooked chicken on some metal plates, other side dishes surrounding it and a pitcher of water, looking clean and nice despite their lack of wealth.

A boy about twelve years of age is here as well and an infant wrapped in a blanket lies snug in a baby basket inside something that looks like a crib near the corner of the house, sound asleep.

"Oh, Frost, this is my brother, William," Hazel introduces me to the kid.

"Hey man, what's up?" I say to him about to give him a high-five.

"What?" he says with confusion.

"Oh—uh nevermind," I correct myself on the modern slang and shake his hand instead. "How are you?"

"Hungry," he admits but then Hazel slaps his arm, a scowl on her face.

He clears his throat. Whoops.

That's when Hazel notices the chameleon on Rapunzel's shoulder and her face lights up. "Oh Pascal! Can I hold him?" she asks with a small hop on her heels.
