(song above dedicated to The Guardians of Childhood)
(track: "Luminary" by Joel Sunny)
I take in a sharp breath of unbelief. "No way," I say to myself as I feel so caught off-guard. How is this possible? Am I dreaming? Am I dead?"
He puts his tiny hands in his pockets.
"I—wha..." I say as I can't really seem to know what to do with my hands, staggering back and looking around me in awe. "W—Not even North has met in you in the flesh! W-Why me?"
"Do you want the long answer that you won't understand or the ambiguous one?" he gives me a slightly playful tone but no less celestial.
"I'm sorry I just can't believe I'm here. I have dreamed about what this place was like since I learned about you all those years ago and..." My eyes wander again as I take it in, watching in the distance as a huge whale sized jellyfish flies over the nebulas, the sound it makes gently traveling across the moonscape as a shooting star stripes across the sky to top off the scenery that utterly hypnotizes me.
That's when one of those bats glides over to our platform and lands beside him gracefully, the sound from its mouth like a high pitched whale noise; beautiful and serene.
He grabs the saddle on its back. "I think you've more than earned some answers. Come." He puts his goggles back over his eyes and mounts the beast.
I take off after he does and fly, following him through the paradise that is this place that I know realize is the moon itself. It must be hidden under this bubble like a camouflage of some kind.
My hand touches the falling water, scatting tiny pieces like little diamonds glittering in multiple colors and feeling cool against my fingers. We curve around the Greek resembling structures of stone and marble, lined pillars and arched walkways. The architecture is made with such beautiful precision and artistry to every detail it's like everything is merely a painting. It makes me wonder how old this whole lair is and how it was made.
One of the bots catches my eye as it carries a pipe and the distraction causes it to turn and smack another bot in the head, causing it to clumsily fall over and drop a stack of papers.
I laugh at this as I fly by, having to duck before I hit an iridescent glowing electric colored manta ray that reminds me of Sandy as it flies by with others of various sizes around it, creating those dreamy tails like the bats.
There are so many places for my eyes to look but my attention is turned ahead when we land in a circular built dock with no ceiling, the walls simply bookshelves that are as tall as a three story building at the far reaches of the space we are in. There is a central part of this that rests a balcony, reminding me much of how North and Chronos's "offices" were set up. At the nucleus but above us, is floating golden orbs attached to rings that created galaxies all moving slowly to show the time on various different planets and systems, along with the suns that are floating orbs of brilliance that illuminate the "room" we are in.
By the bookshelves, tons of robots are typing on steampunk style typewriters and carrying pages back and forth to create books out of them, all of them doing such precise work.
As incredible as all of this is, I happen to find that the most remarkable sight, to my surprise, is the view.
At this windowed space at the front of this whole circular structure, I can see the Earth in a way I never thought I could.
