"Okay I have been wanting out of here for... forever and tomorrow night they'll be releasing the floating lights on my birthday and I've been dreaming to see them in person! I've only gotten to see them from my bedroom window once a year!"

"Okay still a lot of questions in regards to your house arrest but I'll save those," I say with a frown as I let her continue.
"You can take me with you and I'll come straight back before my mom gets home! Easy-peasy ...Right?" she makes a hopeful smile.
"How long will your mother be gone?" I squint.
"Three days. That's how long it took last time. And I can be back before then! If I have your help."
"I'd love to help you out sunshine but I'll be flying the city." I twirl my staff.
She glances at it then up at me with a shy smile.
When I figure out what she's thinking I look at her with doubt.
"Yeah I don't uh—" I start as she attempts to untangle her hair and pull it into a knot and I manage to not trip over it when she pulls at it, trying to get it in a state to where she could fly? I still think this is a bad idea... "Why are you taking a frying pan?" I ask incredulously.
She gives me a look that says the answer should be obvious... "Just in case we run into any bad guys."
"'Bad guys'? How old are you?" I try not to look too amused as I frown.
She rolls her eyes. "Yeah, have you never heard of bad guys?" She crosses her arms over her chest. "Where are you from anyways?"
"Look I'm from... ... uh far away, okay? No, I'd like to know what you think bad guys are," I say with amusement.
