After two unforgetful years of dating Lizzie, there's one thing left for Joel to do, before the new year.

(I know it is 2025 now but I forgot to post this:( sorry, anyway I hope you enjoy )

Joel looked nervously at the clock.
He wore an elegant dark green suit, chosen specially for the occasion. He checked his back pocket every few seconds just to make sure the ring was still there.

Grian and Jimmy were giving him a thumbs up and also looking for Pearl's back with Lizzie.

"It's going to be okay." Jimmy gave him a smile as he walked closer to his dear friend.

"I really don't want to mess this up..." Joel mumbled
"- And what if she says no -."

Jimmy punched him and took his arms stacking him.
"Joel, I know my sister all my life and I know she'll definitely say yes to you."

Joel stared at him, speechless. Deeply inside he knew Jimmy was right. He loved Lizzie more than anything else in the world and she was the same way for him.
He was stressing over nothing but still it was a very important event that will have an effect on his future life.

" Joel! They're coming" Grian yelled whisper and waved at them to come.
Joel came back to reality, leaving his cloudy thoughts in the back of his head.
Jimmy left Joel go.
"It's gonna be fine, don't worry." Jimmy pat him on the arm.
Joel took a deep calming breath in and out. He gave him a shy smile, still not sure if it will be.

A few seconds later Pearl and Lizzie walked on the balcony.

Lizzie looked at them worriedly.
"What's wrong?Pearl said you desperately need me."

Grian and Pearl exchanged looks , trying not to accidentally start giggling. Jimmy glanced at them madly.

Joel looked at Lizzie. She had a beautiful light pink dress on, her hair bright up in two buns and she had the necklace with the sea shell Joel gave her for her birthday.

"You look beautiful tonight." Joel took Lizzie's hand. She blushed.
" You also look nice."

The three siblings took a few steps back, giving the lovebirds some space for their special moment.

"Lizzie."Joel said quietly.

"Yes?" Their eyes met.

"Remember when we first met? It was a party like this one. "

Lizzie smiled." I will never forget that night ."

" I fell in love at first sight and -"
Joel knelt down.
"Lizzie Moon-Shadow would you make me the happiest man in the entire world --
Lizzie will you marry me?"

Lizzie wrapped her arms around him ,giving him a kiss.
"Yes!"

As she said, behind them the sky lit up with many colours . The fireworks shine beautifully.

Joel put an engaging ring with aquamarine on Lizzie's finger . And kissed her hand.

"I love you."

Lizzie giggled giving him a shouch on the forehead.
"I love you more. And Happy New Year." She hugged him.
