Seated feet across of each other, Lacey and Silvester sit in silence that felt loud; at least to Silvester it did. The room was quiet, but the thoughts residing in his head did nothing but scream obscenities that he was fighting to ignore.

The harder he tried the louder and more offensive they got.

"Mr. Kapi, you've been sitting here for the last fifteen minutes. Do you want to cancel today's session?" Silvester lets the question roll around his head while he rests his arms and the leather material of the tub chair.

He was dreading today being that it was a full week since his last session and things had seemed to only get worse for him. His first thought was to stop attending, but he was really trying to better himself and knew that quiting half way through would only cause him to backtrack.

"I fucked up really bad," Tears effortlessly run down his freckled cheeks that had sunken within the last seven days. He was barely getting sleep and when he was awake, he was stuck in a state of denial.

"I didn't mean to either," He runs the back of his hand across his face to rid his tears then lifts his head, now met with Lacey's green eyes. "I was thinking about what you said about me manipulating her. Maybe I was but I didn't know, it wasn't my intention."

Lacey nods, "When you first met her what was the first thing you felt?"

"Inspired, a little challenged." He clears his throat and exhales as he blinks away more tears that try to resurface.

"How?"

"The first time we met she approached me. I wasn't used to that, she also led the conversation. Another thing that I was not normal when it came to interacting with women. So I felt challenged but also inspired by her." The night Nadi and Silvester crossed paths during the art expo he was calm but also felt as if a candle had been lit in the core of his being.

His was the wick while Nadi was the flame at the end of the match stick. Her vibrant personality and the passion held in her words cracked a code all in their short five minute conversation.

"I never had any ill intentions with her." He confesses. Upset with himself and the truth he was able to see from the intense session he had last week left him in fear of his true self.

Did he really change within the last two years, or was that too short of a time trame to uproot trauma from his childhood that lead him to make not only dark, but very questionable decisions in adulthood.

"I had no hidden agenda. To be honest she scared me a bit!" He finds a way to laugh at the truth while his own heart ached.

"I knew she needed me to treat her better than I did with women in the past and I did, I made it my mission to do that. I made sure to be patient in times where I wanted to act on impulse and let her be herself without judgment. I never tried to mold her." He fought through every wrong temptation that presented itself before him and learned to be patient with Nadi.
