Silvester rests his large palms along the marble countert of his bathroom sink and squints his eyes. The headache that had been disrupting his sleep on and off for the last four days had taken a much more serious turn.

Interfering with not only his already discombobulated sleep schedule but his mood as a whole. He groans and begins to rub his temples in hopes of soothing the stabbing pain he felt right behind his eye sockets.

He didn't plan for another sleepless night, but there was a list of things he didn't plan that took place over the last two and a half weeks. He starts to take slow and steady breaths as he stands upright and opens the medicine cabinet to the right of him and retrieves a bottle of Advil only for it to be empty.

"Fuck." He had been tossing them back like Skittles for the last week and ran out two days ago. He told himself that he'd pick up a bottle only to get sidetracked from a last minute meeting he had with Antonio about the recent art piece of his he had put on display at the art exhibition.

Someone was looking to buy it and if the price was right, he wouldn't mind selling it.

He wanted it off his hands and fast even though it was one of his best pieces in the last few months. He admired it, but all it did was remind him of Nadi, the emotions attached to it weren't ones that he was fond of even though it was inspired by the woman he loved most.

Silvester exits his bathroom and walks back over to his bed. He sits down on the side of it and rests his elbows on his quads then his face in his warm palms. A yawn slips from his full lips as his lifts his head and looks over at his clock along his dresser.

Four twenty four a.m. was displayed along the digital clock, causing more frustration to rise. He leans over and grabs his cellular device to call his mother in hopes of her giving him a home remedy that would work for headaches.

He normally remembered her home remedies and personal recipes that helped when to came to common colds, fevers, headaches, and a list of other things, but his throbbing headache was making it hard for him to remember anything.

Hat hated that he was calling so late and the fact that Philadelphia was two hours ahead of Colorado made him feel even more guilty since it was two a.m. for his mother, but he knew that she knew he'd only call at such late hours when he needed to speak to her about something important.

"Calling me this late should be a crime." His mother yawns on the other end.

"I'm sorry but I have a quick question. I've been having really bad migraine headaches, do you have any home remedies that might help?"

"Do you have lavender or peppermint oil? The lavender will help with headache and make it easier for you to sleep afterwards. Peppermint can open up your airways which could be the reason for your headache, are you congested you know you get sick when the seasons change?"
