Moxxie returned home, feeling somewhat uneasy about the encounter, yet relieved to have completed his inventions.
Upon Moxxie's arrival, Ravi greeted him with antennas shining yellow. "Hi Moxx! How did the inventions turn out? Were you able to finish them?" he inquired with enthusiasm.
Setting aside the box, Moxxie scratched the back of his neck. "Yes, I managed to finish them, although it took a while," he replied with a chuckle. That's when he noticed the amulet around Ravi's neck, identical to the one depicted on the paper Brenson had given him.
Ravi tilted his head, a look of concern crossing his face. "Are you good?" he asked, attempting to glance at the paper.
Moxxie swiftly tucked the paper into his pocket. "No, nothing's wrong. I was just going over some... blueprints!" he said, forcing a grin while his gaze lingered on the amulet. "By the way, what have you all been up to in my absence?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.
Ravi dismissed the question with a wave of his hand. "Nothing noteworthy, you haven't missed much," he assured Moxxie.
Moxxie nodded in acknowledgment. "Alright then, I'm off to leave this at Chester's lab," he declared, making his way out.
Since Moxxie's return, Ravi found himself engulfed in nostalgia, triggered by the familiar scent of a laboratory on Moxxie-a scent not akin to Chester's lab, but reminiscent of a Home Depot blended with a genuine science lab.
Ravi settled on the couch, the scent triggering flashbacks of his past.
"Hey babe, is everything alright? You seem terrified," Bunnicula's voice softened as he embraced Ravi.
Ravi leaned back, locking eyes with Bunnicula. "Yeah... I'm just feeling uneasy about Moxxie now..." he confessed. "I mean, he's just returned, but there's something about the scent he's brought back... I don't like it," he sighed.
Bunnicula circled the couch to sit beside him. "Trust your instincts, Ravs. If you're feeling this way, you might be onto something," Bunnicula said, snuggling close to Ravi.
Ravi chuckled. "Alright, but I'll investigate further tomorrow. For now, I'll just-"
"GUYS, GUYS, GUYS, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!" CC panted, pointing towards Chester's laboratory.
With a groan, Ravi rose, followed by Bunnicula, heading to the lab.
Upon entering, Chester swiveled his chair to face them. "Hi Ravi!" he greeted, standing up. He then turned a cold stare at Bunnicula. "Bunnicula," he said tersely, brushing past him to retrieve his journal.
Bunnicula rolled his eyes and leaned towards Ravi. "Can you ask Chester to stop being so unpleasant towards me? I'm clueless about what I did. But ever since I've been with you, he... Oh... Now I understand what's bothering him," he said, a realization dawning on him with a snicker.
Chester returned with his journal, placed it on the counter, and flipped it open. "As you can see, Ravi's amulet has quite the history. It's believed to have originally belonged to Overlord Nova, also known as King Christopher K. Nova," he explained.
Ravi's eyes widened at the mention of 'Nova,' but he dismissed it, considering there might be others with the surname Nova.
"You're all aware of the amulet's purpose and all that, but here's my theory... If Ravi is the only one the amulet responds to, he could very well be Prince 'Anthony R. Nova.' And I'm sure we're all curious about what the 'R' stands for," Chester said with a chuckle, leading them through his journal entries.
Ravi shook his head, incredulous. "What?! Me, a prince? That's impossible. I don't even know who my parents are! Unless... we embark on an adventure to find them!" he declared, his voice filled with excitement.
Bendy turned to Ravi, concern in his voice. "But how long might this quest take?" he inquired.
Ravi waved away the concern. "Don't worry about that; it'll be like a road trip! Imagine it: 'The Gang: The Search for Nova or Nothing,'" he said, laughing at the thought.
Kai shook his head, amused. "Your strange fascination with naming things like book titles," he commented, chuckling.
Ravi rolled his eyes playfully. "It's entertaining. Don't be such a spoilsport, Kai," he said, sticking out his tongue in jest.
After their brief encounter, Bunnicula approached Chester with a smirk. "Bunnicula? Did you forget something?" Chester inquired.
Bunnicula gave a soft chuckle. "Chester, there's no need to conceal it. I'm aware that you still have feelings for Ravi, and it irks you that he chose me," Bunnicula said with a grin.
Chester crossed his arms. "Naturally, I'm upset! You knew I've had feelings for him for ages, and yet, as the insufferable brother you are, you went ahead and got involved with him," he retorted, his ear twitching in annoyance.
"Look, Chesty, you can be as angry as you want, but you had the chance to make a move. Perhaps, in time, you'll find someone else," Bunnicula suggested with a shrug.
Chester rolled his eyes. "Oh, I'm sure I will," he replied sarcastically.
Bunnicula exited the lab, exhaling deeply as he pondered over their exchange.
Ravi spun around to face Bunnicula. "Hey Bunnic! Are you up for helping to prepare for this awesome road trip?" he inquired, a smile playing on his lips.
Bunnicula's grin matched his enthusiasm. "Of course! But tell me, is it just going to be the two of us, or are others joining?" he questioned, one eyebrow arched in curiosity.
Ravi gave a noncommittal shrug. "Not sure yet, but I'll find out later. For now, let's focus on getting everything set up," he suggested.
