Ravi forced a nervous chuckle, masking the tension in his chest. "Ah, right, makes sense why you'd need it," he said, flashing a broad grin. Then, with a swift turn, he bolted out of the lab before Brenson had a chance to react.

Brenson stayed put, his lips curling into a twisted giggle as Ravi fled. The sound of his laughter echoed through the cold, sterile lab, sending a shiver down Ravi's spine as he dashed down the bustling city streets.

As Ravi sprinted down the sidewalk, the wind whipped around him, tousling his hair and antennas. "What the hell is wrong with this guy?" he muttered under his breath, gasping for air.

After a few blocks, he slowed down and glanced over his shoulder, half-expecting to see Brenson chasing after him. But there was nothing. No pursuit, no Brenson. Just the hum of the city. Feeling slightly foolish, Ravi stopped in his tracks, catching his breath.

At least I got out of there before he pulled any of his twisted tricks, he thought, his heart still racing.

He stood there for a moment, taking in the sights around him. Clusters of people milled about, laughing, chatting, and going about their day. The city felt alive-vibrant, full of energy. Ravi's eyes widened as he gazed at the neon lights, the towering buildings, and the colorful chaos around him.

"Wow," he whispered to himself, his antennas trembling with a surge of excitement. "I never realized how incredible this place is..." It was like the city was glowing, tiny stars dancing in his vision.

Ravi shook his head, snapping himself out of the daze. *Focus,* he reminded himself. There was no time to get distracted by the city's charm. With a sigh, he stuffed his four hands into his pockets and headed home.

By the time he walked through the door, it seemed like everyone had been waiting for him. A dozen curious eyes turned his way. Ravi raised an eyebrow, forcing a casual grin. "Uh, hey guys," he said, trying to play it cool.

Chester shot him an incredulous look, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "'Hey guys'? That's it? That's all you've got?"

Ravi blinked in confusion, shrugging. "What? Is there a problem with 'hey guys' now?"Chester rolled his eyes in exasperation, pulling out a small device. "Quit playing dumb." With a click, the device began playing back a recording-Ravi's conversation with Brenson from earlier that day. Every word. Every sinister whisper.

Ravi's heart plummeted as he listened to the playback. His mind raced for an explanation, but he couldn't afford to let panic show. "Dude, that sounds AI-generated. Is this another one of your lame pranks?" he joked, forcing a laugh. But inside, his stomach churned with unease.

Chester crossed his arms, his ears twitching with irritation. "You think I'm that gullible? Stop treating me like an idiot."

Ravi's expression shifted, his grin fading. "What's the big deal? It was just a quick chat-it doesn't mean anything." He spread his arms wide, his voice sounding a little too defensive.

Chester mimicked the gesture, his voice mocking. "'It doesn't mean anything'? Seriously? Do you not understand the gravity of this? We're all on edge here, Ravi!" His voice wavered slightly, as if holding back a laugh, though his frustration was genuine.

Ravi, confused by the shifting moods in the room, glanced around. The others were giggling, whispering to one another. "Wait... what's going on?" he asked, a nervous chuckle escaping him.

Chester suddenly burst into laughter, unable to hold it in any longer. "We're not mad at you, Ravi! We're just giving you a little reality check. You've been so caught up in all this, it's like we're watching a soap opera!" He wiped tears from his eyes, a grin plastered on his face.

Relief flooded Ravi as he let out a wheezy sigh, sinking onto the couch. "You guys almost gave me a heart attack!" He wiped a tear from his eye, shaking his head with disbelief.

"Why would we be mad at you?" CC chimed in, his tone light and teasing. "We'd never do that!"

Kai leaned over, grinning slyly. "Just wait a couple of years-we'll definitely have a few reasons to be mad at him," he whispered, chuckling to himself.

Suddenly, Bunnicula appeared from the hallway, his hair a mess and his clothes rumpled from sleep. He stretched, yawning. "What's going on, guys? Is Ravs home?" Mid-yawn, his eyes landed on Ravi. A huge grin spread across Bunnicula's face as he bounded toward him. "Ravi! I missed you! Where've you been?" he exclaimed, wrapping Ravi in a tight embrace.

Ravi hugged him back, smiling softly. "Just... handling some important stuff," he said, his voice warm but tired.

Mint, lounging nearby, smirked. "Thank goodness you're back. Bunnicula wouldn't wake up until you returned. Weird, but kinda sweet," she teased, nudging Bunnicula.

Ravi stepped back from the embrace, his brow furrowing in concern as he studied Bunnicula. "Seriously? That's... kinda unhealthy, Bunnic. I've only been gone since this morning," he said, his lips twitching into a nervous grin, trying to make light of the situation.

Bunnicula let out a sheepish laugh, his hands lingering at Ravi's waist as if reluctant to let go. "I know, I know. But those hours felt like an eternity," he confessed, his eyes soft but a little embarrassed. The corner of his mouth curled into a guilty smile.

Ravi shook his head, a fond smile creeping onto his face as he pulled Bunnicula closer, wrapping his extra arms around him for comfort. "Next time, I'll just leave a clone with you," he teased, trying to ease the tension with humor.

Bunnicula chuckled softly at the joke, leaning into Ravi's touch before letting him go, albeit reluctantly.

Hayden, who had been watching the exchange, raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Alright, so what's the plan now? What's next?" he asked, crossing his arms.

Ravi ran a hand through his hair, then rubbed the back of his neck as he distanced himself from Bunnicula, his expression shifting from playful to serious. "I think it's time to really step things up," he said firmly, his voice steady. There was a fire in his gaze, one that hinted at the storm brewing within him.
